MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Three points. Anything less is considered failure.

As much as I agree that a win is the only acceptible result, I feel the need to point out that it is not the only way to get into the playoffs.
I'm not going to get into the possiblilities if we tie NY, but...

If we lose in NY, we just need DC or NE to lose as well.
    or
If we lose in NY, we just need DC and NE to lose as well.
    or
If we lose in NY, we just need DC and NE to not tie, Colorado to lose, and RSL to Win.

Unless the set piece took 12 minutes to set-up, I'm going to say no.

Guevara worked the keeper but no, believe it or not, both of the goals were from open play.

This is gonna be a dogfight; we're playing for the playoffs, but half of New York's roster are playing for their jobs. That's serious motivation. Plus, it's on the worst turf in the league.

    Hell of a fight.

Kinda sucks the last game of the Regular Season is going to played on a field with NFL lines, markings, team logos and all that shit sprain painted all over the pitch... (unless I'm wrong & somehow they aren't there)

Nothing is more confusing than a giant GIANTS logo in the 18 yard box...

I really hate watching games with the markings on the pitch. Its annoying and makes the league look bush league. Worst part, if TFC wins and makes the playoffs, there's no doubt a few Toronto or Canadian sports casters will make fun of it in the highlights - bringing us down when we're on a high...

    Sigh...

    So, we have:
    DC v KC @ 8:30
    COL v RSL @ 9:00

Will be able to show those games at the bar?
Hopefully we will get updates on the DC game during TFC broadcast.
Let's hope we get a win from KC so our future doesn't have to wait till Sunday's NE game to be decided!

^Yep, it would be good to go to bed on Sat night with a warm fuzzy feeling of drunkeness and knowing we're safely into the play offs.

GolTV Canada has listed the following for Saturday

    6pm - Brazilian League Soccer
    8pm - Colombian League Soccer
    10pm - Spanish League Soccer

I hope for my DVR's sake the good folks at GolTV and/or Cogeco fix this

so would a tie! we are only 1 pt behind Col, and if we can pass them, the only team out of a playoff spot that has the tiebreaker on us is FCD. So Col is out and FCD (assuming they win too) and TFC are in

unless Chicago looses, then oh no...this is too much FCD must lose, and we must win, its just easier that way

I checked my Cogeco listing as well, no TFC game to be found on any channel. Even checked the GOLTV site and although the front page is the TFC-NY game, the game is not found in the listings there either.

Tried to call GOLTV, got a msg saying to leave an e-mail address, so I'm sure they'll respond by next season.

I don't really know how you figure that. We are in the last playoff spot tied with 3 other teams below us. If we lose and any of those teams pick up one point (NE,DC, Dallas) we are out. Even if that happens and RSL win we are out.

So the only way we make the playoffs with a loss is if NE DC and Dallas all lose and RSL does not win.

I think a win is required.
