    Good to see.

I think they will be able to... especially considering how nice it is.

Remember back when the SkyDome was the "cool" place to be?

The Skydome is downtown Toronto right next to the (then) world's tallest freestanding structure.... not in jersey.

It still looks like a cool place to watch a match, but is it really only 25,000 seats?

That's the thing too. 25,000 people is easier to fill than 75,000.

I guarantee if TFC played out of Giants Stadium... it would be getting the same type of crowds even if Giants Stadium was in downtown Toronto.

see Montreal Alouettes - Molson Stadium vs. Olympic Stadium, concept, same.

why not for for like .... (pulling a compromise number out of a hat here)... 35,000.

That way they can also host friendlies without having to charge people twice (see Real Madrid in Toronto)

I appreciate that it's a soccer specific stadium, but I with they'd think just a big bigger. It's New York after all!

i dont think they'll fill it regularly unless travelling fans come out in numbers.

LA doesn't always fill the Home Depot Center.. so no reason 25000 are gonna schlep out to the swamps to watch the New Jersey Shite Bulls. I could see them getting 17-20K on average though, and perhaps 25K for TFC, DC, Philly games.... With those easy/cheap Porter Airlines flights to the airport right near the stadium, this would be an easy trip for the TFC fan.

I agree. You'd think they would at least have made it 30,000 like HDC. I suppose the argument is that if you have a big event that requires hosting a lot of people you can still use the Meadowlands.

I have not been in the stadium but the train goes by it and it is very impressive...would be nice if there a hotel close by and a shuttle from the airport..

Seats are going in and pitch will laid soon.

The away section is in the 2nd deck of this end

Blue seats represent season tickets that have already been sold

Should be a fun road trip. As much as I hate the New Jersey Aluminum Cans, it's shaping up to be a nice stadium.

And stadiums like this just help lend legitimacy to the whole league. I hope to see more.

25,000 seats is perfect. 30,000 would be alot harder to sell out tickets on a reguler basis. Sure they could sell out tickets for any friendlies or in big matches like playoffs or vs rival teams but i bet the average game it would be hard to keep selling 30,000 seats every game. They want this stadium to be as full as possbile like in Europe, they want this stadium to look European and feal European you could bet on that and wIth 25,000 seats they can keep demand high and availability lower, making it the place to be.

That stadium is awsome and i hope to go next season. But im not sure if we could ever get as big travelling numbers as we had in Columbus, flying to New York still iquite a bit more exspensive then going to Columbus. Though if we ever got 1,000-2,000 New York that stdaim noise would be rocking, would be madness!!

How come none of you ever got a boner over Reading's Madejski Stadium?

People havent really said anything about Madejeski Stadium because its all the way in England and most people here will never go visit this stadium where as Red Bull Arena is a very doable away trip and it is the first type of European stadium built in America. Red Bull Arena really adds creadability to the league and the Red Bull Club. Where as Madejeski stadium is in Europe where there is lots of stadiums like this built all over Europe.
