Chicago looks pretty good. Still 0-0 though.

Assuming this ends in a draw, we'll still be in 8th.

We hold the tie breaker because we beat them 3-1 and drawed them 1-1.

It's better if one of the teams win....either really doesnt matter as long as we win our last game...

if Chicago wins...New England is 1 pt behind with the same amount of games remaining

if New England wins..Chicago can still be reached for #2 in the East...if we win our last game and they lose their last....but we are temporarily out of the 8th spot....and nothing but a win in our last match will send us to the playoffs

if they draw....we hold only a tie breaker over New England and Chicago can't be overtaken for #2 in the East which means at least 4th place

If DC ties tonight than Chicago has won a playoff spot as the 2nd seed in the east.

No, a draw is better than a New England win. We don't want to be relying on other teams' results in the final week.

Forget about overtaking Chicago... they're in if DC and Dallas lose tonight (I think?) and we want them to lose, especially Dallas.

All DC needs to do is tie for Chicago to be in.

Chicago cant be caught by us now, all we can do is tie them in the standings, and they have the tiebreak

If FC Dallas wins both games, they will be tied with us, and they have the tiebreak on us

IF either DC or NE win the rest of thier remainings game, we hold the tiebreaker

So we need, a Dallas loss or tie over the next to games, and a win in NY and we are in!

Problem is it looks like Dallas is on fire and well... we are frustratingly inconsistant.
But it is exciting to be on the edge of making the playoffs!

Paul Mariner resigned from the Revs effective after the Chicago match to take up similar #2 position with Plymouth Argyle, Coca-Cola Football League Championship. So next week, Paul Sturrock, current gaffer at Plymouth is "dead man walking".
