Perhaps we have to start thinking about roofed stadiums at some point. But do we have to have a fan base that is developed enough to be immune to the weather, like they do for American football where they will come out to watch a game regardless of the climate? We are not at that point yet, but we hope to achieve that at some point."

one game left and we are facing a cold snap. . . see you at BMO

Mornin D. Thanks as always for this morning pick me up.

Looks like your SUNSHINE link has an extra %22 at the end upsetting IE at the very least ... no big deal really.

SSG... nice enough looking but the pictures are boring!

when other more established & hardened leagues like Russia, Scandinavia, etc switch their calendars, then we might want to start considering it. till then, Bladder should piss off (pun intended)

Its the U.S. folks. In matters of money and power, the rest of the world will be following them. Listen if teams like Man United and Real Madrid are claiming financial losses year after year, then a long term collapse is inevitable. (If not collapse, then some controls) I'm pretty sure those teams are profitable, its their "official" books that are losing.

In any case, if MLS continues its steady climb, then in 20 years this discussion will be moot. A proper U.S. result at a world cup (meaning a win), and Europe starts to notice. When is that coming, I truly believe, the U.S. will win a world cup. When MLS has a 40-mill salary cap, drops its 5 losing franchises, and gets 5 more Toronto or Seattle type franchises. 35,000 average per game per franchise.... 20 years? ok I've drifted here...
