Grass will be missing one vote at the next council meeting:

Mayor David Miller is jetting off to Los Angeles next week to attend a climate change conference being co-hosted by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
It will mark the first time since becoming mayor in 2003 that Miller has missed a city council meeting. One is scheduled for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

This should be in the Mayor Miller Thread, but sure some of it is on him, but much of it is the mess left behind by his predecessor. It's easy to show surpluses when you fail to invest in infrastructure and then it gets to the tipping point....so the current administration is forced to deal with it.

I know the grass issue is very important to the mayor, so I see this as good news, let me explain. I don't think he would leave if he thought the vote was close enough to loose. I feel confident he has polled members of council and is sure that there is a comfortable majority to get the weeds at BMO!!!

    Ding ding ding. Bingo.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Philly's first year in a new stadium...I would bet for sure we will want to make an official trip for that one.
