Are any of the sessions going to be on Sundays? I work all day Saturdays now (12+ hour shifts FTW), so I can't help...unless you guys are still planning on being there around 7:30-8ish and don't mind me coming over straight from work, all gross and smelling like slaughter...
    I wanna paint tooooo.

I saw in another thread that you were talking about sweeping to get rid on the chunks below and give ourselves a smoother surface to work on. Forget brooms - you will be there all day working on an area that big. Get yourselves a leaf blower (preferably gas) - you can blow it off that way much faster (we used to do it all the time for racing 1/18 scale rc cars - it works like a charm).

I have an electric one and a generator if all else fails but it will take a little longer as we would have to move the generator a couple of time and the blower itself is not as powerful as a gas model.

I am still working on permission for saturday but I will post here once I know for sure.

I am in. I can be there for 10 easily enough but I need to be out of there by 2. I will bust ass for those 4 hours though. I will bring knee pads for myself.

Let me know about the leaf blower - if you want me to bring mine, I can (with the generator). I could also be there for 9:30 to start cleaning if we want to keep a 10 am firm start time.

    Let me know.

I also wonder if tarps will work? I have a plastic blue tarp plus the banner team has that painter's tarp as well...

tarps or a drop cloth should help with any indentations we get from the concrete into the material..so ya not a bad idea

Tarps will help once the small pebbles and stones are cleared away. I have a couple of tarps in my garage that I will round up also - I have three but I am not sure how clean they are. We can inspect them there.

What time do you want me there with the generator and the blower?

    I'll be there guys.

I'll bring the camera too, just because this is worth documenting.

Earliest I could make it would be about 6pm...
Any point in me putting in an hour or two's labour before kickoff at Joe's?
    Will you still be there?

Exactly Rudi. I think Parky has a pretty good handle on this project.

    it wont be.

seeing the banner in the stands is the 'payoff' for the video,
so showing it before I have that footage would be like a joke without a punchline.

don't worry guys, I know not to spoil the surprise

That's funny - I am sure it can be rigged.

Is there an oath that all volunteers must take before the banner is unrolled?
