    Default JDG Signed Today

    From Paul's tweet:

Paulbeirne: YAY! http://twitpic.com/hawgd (7 minutes ago from Tweetie)

It looks like the pic was taken underwater, but that hair tells me that this is a pic of JDG signing his papers. There's also a twitpic of Mo in the room... I think this is confirmation!

    yup....consider him signed.

Now, the question is whether he is fit to play tomorrow. If he does play tomorrow, I think they are NUTS.

I agree here Dino....how much action has he really had. I love him to death, but rushing him out there may not be the best idea....even if we need him on the pitch this saturday......

He's been training with the club most of the week so it may not be as bad as all that. Closed doors sessions. No media.

TFC is definitely more talented than before with JDG, but I don't know if he is the saviour everyone is thinking.......we still have no player who we can rely on to score when the time comes.....

might not be the popular opinion here but its just how I see it......

    Default DP presser today

TFC just sent out a release, saying only that the team's "first Designated Player" will be introduced at a press conference at BMO Field at 1:!5 this afternoon.

Ben, you MUST ask Mo if Dwayne was guaranteed to be the highest paid player on the team and, if so, how will Julian's signing impact that.

that would be some hard hitting journalism.
We know that Ben knows the tough questions, but we also know that some people don't want anyone to rain on their parade.

    Of course.

JDG might have to buy him a beer or something.

How fast could MLS ratify a contract once signed? I can imagine a holdup of some nature due to the size of the contract, but I'd love to see him tomorrow.

At least we don't have to worry about immigration crap!

I'm sure the MLS FO had to approve before the final signatures were given.

BTW, for a DP signing, not just MLS FO but the Board of Governors must approve.

and they agreed to that ages ago (last season).
