MLS on Gol (again)
after last week last minute pull gol tv is showing TWO out of market MLS games next week:
Wed 19th- Los Angeles Galaxy at Chicago Fire.......9pm KO
Thurs 20- New England @ Seattle sounders..........10pm ko
actually two great games that will involve TFC playoff fight!!
come on the Galaxy and the Sounders!!

it seems that GOL will be only carrying the ESPN games as these two games plus the RM game used the ESPN feed.
^ better than no out of market games. Nice to see them being proactive.
I'm happy about this even though these kickoffs are at and after my beddy-bye time.
Hopefully they'll show them a couple of times over the next few days like they tend to do on that channel.

Wow. GolTV has been very responsive, very quickly. Lots of (be it overly repeated) TFC shows. Then creates an MLS Weekly show. Now providing out of market games. SHows they're listening to us.
A shot in the dark here ... anyone have a link to todays match? Directv did not pick this one up and I am searching for a webcast.

Galaxy v Fire...this one should be interesting as the Fire can hear us sneaking up on them...But the Galaxy blow on the road losing 2-0 to Seattle...Seattle!! look for a 2-2 draw.

Non gol related...WSBK Boston is showing the REVS and RSL sunday at 6pm...another game of Interest for TFC.
Aug 29 is the best day for MLS tv coverage in canada
TFC @ Seattle 4pm cbc
San Jose @ NE 7:30pm WSBK (BOSTON)
Chivas USA @ LA Galaxy 11pm GOL tv
and with all games meaning something to the TFC playoff push
it should make for a good day of Major League Soccer :}
fire supporters seem to have there shit together this season,
this live coverage is good to see... instead of those boring irrelevant games from Bolivia or wherever that GolTV used to show.
LA is up 1-0 at 30th minute. Good for us! Chicago is 5 points ahead of us, but with a loss today and a win for us on Saturday - and the difference is all of a sudden only 2 points.

Now it's all the more important that we win on Saturday. Not just to get the 3 points, and to keep Chivas down, but also to gain on Chicago. LA is helping us out right now.
If TFC games only get 30,000 viewers on major networks, I can't even imagine how many people will be watching out of market games on Gol TV.
Same as league games from Ecuador (or similar) that they used to show. I'm sure it's still cost-effective for them to show the MLS games. I'd love to see them show even more. At the end of the day it all helps to build the sport and league in this city - and that translates into big bucks when they continue to sell out BMO Field and build a viewing (and purchasing) audience beyond the 20,000 as well.
its a start and what us fans wanted to see out of market games...maybe we should think about leaving the major networks and just stay focused
on GOL tv...the would be my choice...CBC is not a major bonus for us if the viewing is only that 30,000, sportnet will always cover the loser Jays first before anything else...we have found a home on GOL lets stay there.

We could be going aganist Seattle for a playoff spot outside of the top two from the east and west maybe a tie 0 - 0 would be better?
