    Default How about Guillermo Franco?

...Mexican national team striker is out of contract from Villareal, and at 32 is ripe for MLS.

Wouldn't want him as a DP, but I'd be interested to see how he performed here. Decent player, nothing special though.

Pretty consistent scoring record at higher levels than TFC. If we could get him for non-DP money he'd be a bargain.

Consistant as in an average of a goal every 4 games? The only time he was over a goal ever 2 games was playing in Mexico, which IMO bodes well for him if he were to make the jump to MLS.

Why did his strike rate go way down in Spain? I know that it is a better league, but it would almost suggest that there was a change of roles. Plus Spain traditionaly is not the home of great defenders. although that has been changing as of late.

A great non dp striker would be Michael Mifsud, now without a team, just scored a brace for Malta yesterday in beautiful fashion and with his pace he could tear this league apart

No, it's still there. But I'm pretty sure we have int'l slots left.
