Modern Day MLS "Invincible" story
Not a Goats fan, but this is a great story:

I think you mean "Goal", not "Invincible"

No, you were right the first time; Invincible is about an open tryout winner, Goal is someone who got scouted, just like a normal player.
Goal was about an 18 year old Hispanic kid from LA who is half-heartedly given a tryout.....and makes the team against all odds
Invincible is about a 30 year old bartender who makes the team from an open tryout
I still say this story is closer to Goal
