Reds come up empty against Islanders
Champions League dream dies as Canadian side loses scoring touch
    Daniel Girard

Toronto FC come up short in Puerto Rico
USL’s Islanders eliminate TFC from CONCACAF Champions League following 0-0 draw in second leg for a 1-0 aggregate score
    The Canadian Press
After improbably scoring six times in one game to qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League, Toronto FC bowed out of the tournament without scoring a single goal.

After losing to Puerto Rico 1-0 at home last week in the first leg of the two-match playoff, Toronto needed to win by at least that same score Tuesday to stay alive.

    Booted off the Island
    Ryan Johnston
Toronto FC never worked very hard to win the Nutrilite Canadian Championship and in the two additional games earned by doing so it never worked very hard to prove it belonged. Which is why it is with an apathetic tone that I write the first-ever CONCACAF Champions League obit.

    TorontoFC.ca
Toronto FC couldn't find the back of the net against the Puerto Rico Islanders in a 0-0 draw at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on Tuesday night. I pretty much agree with Ryan's article.

Although right now, I am not seeing much hope in the way of MLS playoffs.

    Same here...
we didn't deserve to be in the Champions League and it showed... didn't show like we played well enough to be there.
    Fatigue, boredom? I dunno...
Although the typical CONCACAF reffing didn't help...
