The team looked lost out there last night without him.

trade robbo and get a 2nd amado...
robbo's first 10 passes in the game have conceded possession 9 times...
although he stepped up in 2nd half...
and add a nasty DM and we will have a team
We go as Amado goes...been saying it for 2 seasons. He's the most important piece of our puzzle. When he plays well we win, without him we lose.
he is back in training.

everytime his foot was on the ball you couldve counted the seconds he had until he lost it. he holds it when he needs to pass, he passes when he has time to hold it. there's nothing new to be said here.
as for AG. yup, we needed him baaaaaaaadly. we need to see how he and gerba play off of each other, but so far, he, vitti and dero are a fuckin force.
We sure do, Amado is so good on set plays and corners. Such a champ!
Brennan taking corner kicks the whole time??? WTF was that
Don't know why DeRo wasn't taking them but i'm not the coach
Amado needs to hold corner clinics... seriously I know at times he is a hit and miss... but when he hits!!!

* Cronin had some good balls in.
Brennan........ not so much
Barrett only got a couple in himself. he can make the runs and get into position, but he can't get the ball in at the right height or angle.
Amado where are you?

My MLS now includes Montreal... we needed someone to hate.

Too much of the short kick, ones that had minimal impact. While it may be a planned play (like the Brennan run in on a corner from last year) it only works if everyone is onside. When TFC set up for a short corner last night, PR pulled their guys off the line and put them in the box. Reduces space in the box, creates an uneven matchup (many more PR players than TFC, who usually had 4 in there) and ties up two men on the outside (Brennan and Cronin). And, every now and again, get you called offside on the pass back to the corner.
Points for thinking about getting DeRo in the box on corners, but fail if the ball never gets into the box.
And you still get the odd offside on a corner, which is just wasting the ball.
There are people who dont like Amado?
vitti did what he could
but he had no one moving around to get open
Cronin and Rob are the same players.. Defensive Mids.. there was no one in the pocket to create chances.. we missed Amado bigtime.. Vitti couldnt fill his shoes.. DeRo was playing wide..
the coach should have adjusted earlier..
Finally a thread that makes sense. I have no idea why some people on these boards think Amado is so easily replacable. The fact of the matter is, when we are without him (EVEN if he is playing like shit) we are still a better team.
Take a look at what Puerto Rico did. They shutdown Dero because they could afford to close him down with multiple players at a time. Put Guevara on the field and he'll hurt you if you give him all the space Robbo and Cronin had in the middle. I was sitting there looking at the gaps PR left wondering why the fuck we didn't attack right down the middle. Only one reason, Amado wasn't on the field.
I had this very thought last night. People that can't see what Amado brings to the team need to get their heads checked. Not only is he a creative force through the middle but he is one of the few players that seems confident enough to shoot from distance and with accuracy.
Not to mention that his presence doesn't make DeRo's desire to be a peripheral player as conspicuous.
