    Default Beer Throwing Incident

Ok, I'm against tossing anything onto the field.
    it's wrong.
    we all know it.

But...that toss that hit the goalie square...right on his shiney dome.
Incredible. From about 2/3 of the way up from 114...

With that said...it can never ever be topped....so that should be the end of people tossing things.

    Beers for drinking...not for throwing.

+1. That was something that I frowned upon and enjoyed at the same time.

I think people who throw beers at opposing players are douchebags.
HOWEVER, the douchbaggery exhibited by that goalie far exceeds that of the beer thrower in this instance.

    That keeper deserved alot worse.

The gloves thing is completely unacceptable. He should be suspended for that shit.

"douchebaggery" love that, will have to use it today.
I not really a fan of things being thrown at the players. but that goalie needed to be hit with something.

Default Enough with the beer tossing!

    IMO this is unacceptable!

.. and having the whole south end (and i'm sure the rest of the stadium) explode when a beer hit the keeper is only gonna encourage (and it did) others to do the same. this IMO is a chicken sh!t move, and anyone that throws anything that isn't a streamer on the pitch - let alone hitting a player - should be banned from BMO for life.. and i hope they are.

hey, i remember my first beer too.. what i don't remember was throwing it at someone.

Yeah, I felt that beer rain down on the back of my neck. Sorry it missed my mouth to be honest. I refuse to pay those prices for that dishwasher piss beer, but I'll sure open my mouth up if it's being abused like that.

Yeah, the beer-tossing has to end. It's stupid and I can't comprehend why someone would toss a beer on the pitch when they cost more than what I make in an hour...

That being said, though, the reason that particular beer toss was applauded was because the Islanders' goalie was a douchebag.

You were probably playing chess, or counting your stamp collection when you had your first beer

Kind of like the fan who ran onto the pitch after the game... Dude got a standing ovation from 127 as he was being escorted away by the cops.

Seriously, I was wondering why people were applauded the guy for being a total dunce.

Because it was felt that the ref deserved what nearly came to him. I applauded, I was kind of pissed off at the universe at the time, so yeah. For the record though, I definitely do not approve of attacking officials, or throwing beer.

Yeh, i was in 127, that was quite strange. I don't know why they were applauding him.

I know our guys were more reacting to Jimmy giving him the shirt.

I ran into the guy after the game...he's from out of town (out of country actually) and I guess he figured he had nothing to lose.

When it happened, I told my buddy beside me that I would put money that it wasn't a STH and that more than likely he was from out of town and wouldn't care if he got a ban from BMO Field.

    I was right.

(FYI...security took the jersey from him and gave it to someone else....kind of a douchebag thing to do IMHO)

I think 127 is always standing HAHAHAHA...

In all fairness you saw this coming a mile away... it was one of those games where something was going to go down... that's how bad it was...

lol, point... what I meant is he was applauded. I honestly thought Cummins and/or some of the players were going to lose it after the final whistle and start a fight, it was inevitable something was gonna go down.

some of us applauded as well to the fact that Jimmy gave him his shirt... after all this guy will probably be charged and worse of all... banned from BMO 4 life... He paid for it and at least got a Jersey from Jimmy before the security guy gave it to someone else....

I know the kid in question - he's over from Ireland for the summer - he asked Jim for the jersey - he got it.

Security took it from him - and the cops gave him got a ticket.

The cops went to security to get it back for him - and were told no way - they'd already given it to someone else

It was sarcasm. We weren't applauding him. He heard what we had to say as he was hauled off.
