    Default Pick up Sandro Grande?

The Canadian midfielder was released by the Impact today for choking Mauro Biello during a practice field argument.

He's a good defender and delivers a good ball. We have very little bench depth. Sure, he got released for being a prick, but who hasn't wanted to strangle one of the Limp Acts

    Thoughts?

From what I hear, he has serious problems of this nature. If that's the case, I don't want him.

If it isn't, perhaps he's worth a shot.

First off, he sounds like a doucher big time.

Second, given the last two years would an Impact player really be accepted by the TFC supporters? You know the minute he fucked up it would be "Get rid of that ex Impact twat!"

we pickup Grande so that when JDG joins TFC (fingers crossed) he can get choke-slammed in his first appearance?

Big time NO!! Not just because he is ex-Limpact......this kind of shit cannot happen here....we seem to have gotten Guevarra to change himself a bit....we don't need two timebombs.

I say give him a try out and have some "social workers" assess him. If he has issues a bit of counselling will help, and his talent is equal a Velez or better, why not give him a try. Honestly, he is just going to be a bench player anyway playing in the end of games? Nothing wrong in assessing him to see if he's worth a look.

I thought that the choking incident occurred in the middle of the game, waiting for a corner to get sent in?

    No thanks.

Montreal have serious problems. They suck. Their performance against us was horrific. So guess what...they're having locker room problems. Only difference between them and other losing teams is that this photo got taken - usually you don't get to see the dustups that happen behind the scenes.

As for what happened, I don't know, but who exactly does?

Montreal management has very little credibility. Saputo's statements after they were dropped from the MLS bidding were absurd, and said a lot about his judgment, none of it good. The firing of Limniatis was ridiculous.

I'd take a shot on the guy. He's a good player.

My final comment on this for consideration, is Sandro Grande better than Pozniak? If so then we should consider adding him, on trial, this way if it doesn't work out we let him go and cost us nothing. If he is able to take advantage of this "second chance" then he may definetly add bench strength. Especially with more world cup qualifying games left for Hondorus and U.S.A.

I say give him a trial see how it works out. In the games I've seen him for Montreal in the Champions League looks like a good replacement in the midfield for Guevara.

we dont need some second-rate club's reject on our team unless he's one of the ball boys.

so anybody got the scoop on what happened behind the scenes? Did Biello bang Grande's wife or somethin? cuz then his psychotic actions are justified.

No thanks. Dissent among teammates is the last thing we need right now.
And I believe this is not the first incident with this player.

I like Sandro Grande he should be given a try, he is a solid DM, and he seems to distribute the ball very well.

Riddle me this, who is better Pozniak or Sandro Grande? They took El Lobo and he seems to behave most of the time, minus his diving antics. Let's give Sandro a chance, we need at least one loose cannon filling in for Harmse.
