From the "Important announcement from BMO Field" article.....

Fans attending the Toronto FC versus Houston Dynamo game are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they are able to get through multiple security checkpoints and to their seats on time prior to kickoff. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. Game time is 1 p.m.
Why the EXTRA layers of security checkpoints? Do they not trust their 1st set of check points enough to ensure no contraban gets in? There is no need to make getting into BMO take any longer then it needs to.

I'm sure that's the case. They will be checking people very carefully, I would expect. Give it lots of time.

Probably because they expect people to try to smuggle in alcohol, and if there are people caught with alcohol inside the stadium during a dry game, I'd imagine the punishment to BMO would be steep.

from the notice about alcohol sales.... The incident occurred on May 21, 2008.
hmmm.... from a Wednesday Night game against DC United.

Is it fair to close sales on a Summer Saturday game for an infraction on a cold spring mid-week game?

Personally I can quite easily live without alcohol sales at BMO, but I know there
will be thousands of people who don't get the news, and act belligerent when they
show up to a dry stadium.

we should boycott the concessions again
they might even make more $$$ by selling bottled water at $ 4.00 a pop since i am sure the cost is less than beer

go down early and come to our tailgate and fill up on food and water for a small
    donation to the cause
wow 2016 and things are looking up --- come on you reds lets go
