I would take him over Ricketts in a second. Nobby has been a favorite of mine for years. He only left Newcastle so he could be closer to his ex-wife and kids in London so it's unlikely he'll make the trip across the pond. I didn't know he was released. That's too bad for those of you attending the All-star game.
With that said, I agree with everyone else that we don't need another aged midfielder - even though he'd probably tear up the league for a couple of years at least.

Actually, I believe he turned us down because the Hammers made him an offer. He did say MLS wasn't out of the question in the future. Now that he's being released, you never know.

Would start ahead of Ricketts for sure, he is getting on in years but is class.
Having said that Ricketts has youth on his side and is still settling in to the club\league IMO and we have not seen his best as of yet.
Would take Solano in a heartbeat.
He would be great, but it still doesn't solve our need for a true goalscorer up front.

Nobby can play RB as well. If he was cheap enough and we had a roster spot, I'd sign him in a heartbeat. He still wears the armband for Peru, so another vet to help out the kids. If he could teach Marvell to cross the ball like he's able to, he'd make DD look like our (poor mans) version of Shearer.

Nobby would be great, I felt he played vey well for the Hammers this season probably playing more games than he would have this year due to all the injuries... ...but like many have already said TFC should be looking for a striker...
