I watched a good chunk of the game on Justin.tv. the Yanks looked awful, Costa Rica just totally outplayed them and it is kind of nice to see Landylakes dejected. Altadore, Adu, and Landylakes are the biggest divers I have ever seen. and Bradley is one dirty player.
That pitch was awful. The ball was bouncing as if the game was being played at Giants Stadium. At this day and age, I can't believe Costa Rica is allowed to host WCQers at a stadium with a FIFA one-star pitch.

That pitch is also 6 years old and completely trampled down to astroturf. The US players were comparing it to the Rice-Eccles stadium turf in Salt Lake.
As for the Yanks, I actually think they might lose a 2nd in a row in Chicago. Honduras is a good team with Palacios, Suazo, Figueroa etc and owned mexico in their last two meetings. Soldier Field is nearing a sell-out and it doesn't take a genius to figure out who they'll all be supporting.
That seems about right. Canada played on that pitch in a WCQer back in 2004. It doesn't matter if the pitch isn't natural, even plastic surfaces don't hold up well for that long.
Wynne is garbage. I can't believe the US started him. Surely they have a solid 10 right backs better than him. I mean Wynne doesn't even have basic fundamentals down.

And that puts the US Honduras match in a special light. If Hon beats the US then they are tied for 2nd and outs pressure soley on the US to maintain the 2nd place position and advancing to the next round.

Sure that pitch was horrible but that is not a exuse. I wonder how F.I.F.A. allowed Costa Rica to use that Pitch. what are the rules.
one thing I found interesting is how well Costa Rica played on that field. They made it look like it was grass with the way they played it.
