Might not have been a choice when they were talking to the first club.

And I do not envy Paul right now. We have had how many friendlies fall through? He must be starting to feel the pressure to get one signed before all the "good" clubs are booked up.

That's exactly the case. A lot of clubs will take you to the altar, while simultaneously taking others to the altar. And add to that match agents and wannabe match agents who, shall we say, hold themselves to a different standard (read "I don't care who I screw").

But in this world the teams who are left standing can do business together and do a better deal at that!

Marseille makes a lot of sense if they can pull off winning the French Championship.

The French Champion will be in Montreal in late July anyways.

Playing in Toronto before or after that game would make the trip more worthwhile for the team.

Of course, they are going to have to catch Bordeaux still.

L'OM plays 13th ranked Nancy Lorraine (is that a club or a girl?) and then 7th ranked Rennais. They can beat both of them.

Bordeaux play Monaco and Caen, and should be able to beat them too. It's all up in the air mes amis
