Ya Paul menitoned that last night. 16000 was a mistake. At the game, theres no way there was less than 17 or 18000 people actually IN the stadium, forget tickets sold

Great news today. Here's one more which discusses a bit why Cronin wasn't in the line-up: he had a bit of a knock and felt stiff but there's no reason he shouldn't be fit for DC.

    For a Vancouver perspective...

Whitecaps loss has a silver lining

The mood in the Vancouver Whitecaps dressing room moments after Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Toronto FC was disappointment. It could have been one of relief .
Players could have been thankful Toronto didn't win the opening match of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship by a wider margin. That's because goal differential could play a vital role in the final outcome of the three-team tournament between the Whitecaps, TFC and Montreal Impact.

Good to see Nana and Ibbe out there last night. I'd like to see them start against Montreal. It's a good opportunity for them to play in an important game.

It's still the biggest problem with this team.

Someday they'll just have to open the bank and get a DP.

Someone who can finish MOST of his chances is the only reason we are not in command in the east.

This team has never had a finisher.

That's the smallest crowd I've seen at a TFC game…I doubt there was even 16k.

There were tons of empty seats in my section as was the case in the West Stand.

The four seats in the row in front of ours were empty…and the row in front of that and the next!

We will face a stiff challenge in DC, so hopefully the lads will be up to the task. TFC doesn't do well against possession-oriented teams like DCU.

hope DeRo will be okay, he kinda pulled up a little bit in the last few minutes last night. Don't know if anyone else noticed. He did a fantastic job last night, you could definitely see a glaring difference between the levels. As much as USL pundits like to say their league is superior in all aspects (I want to laugh all the time), but level of play is different. Vancouver is one of the top teams in USL1 this year already through the first 5 matches and won it last year. They were easily dispatched last evening (well should have if we could finish).

I came across this article ahead of the Glasgow Old Firm match this weekend.

    http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/...o_johnston.php
MO EDU reckons he can make a major impact for Rangers on his Old Firm debut - after getting a unique insight on what to expect in the world-famous fixture from Mo Johnston.
Edu is almost certain to get the nod to play at Ibrox on Saturday from Gers boss Walter Smith after a series of highly- impressive displays in central midfield in the last month.

I was not impressed with the match either, techno. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. If not for Frei, they would have tied it at the end. We have played much better; perhaps the elements had something to do with that.

Well no, that's actually because there is no other league close by that will take us.
