A better character than a coach:

Never defended Carver like he was the best, never thought he was the only problem.

He's gone now and time will tell where TFC go in the standings.

Pretty much a spot on analysis for me. Carver came across as a decent guy, and he's a good coach. But he just isn't a head coach.

There's plenty of guys out there who were very good coaches or assistants but when they made the step up to being the main man themselves they just couldn't do it. I think Carver is another one to add to that list.

In Dallas, under Carver, they were shapeless, clueless reflex hoofers of the ball, with no continuity and no apparent plan. Last Wednesday, home to red-hot Chivas USA, they kept it on the carpet, controlled the game, defended well, built carefully, and scored a wonderful goal to win it.

All of this, apparently, under the direction of assistant coach Chris Cummins, who was tossed the keys after Carver went off on the ref in Dallas.

So you might say, Carver's real record this season was 1-2-2 and not 2-2-2?

Sorry, I was having a debate about that topic with Roogsy in another thread.
