    Default Gameday Weather

Well, I guess the novelty of the rain has worn off because NOBODY is talking about 23 and thundershowers tomorrow. Took two games but we finally toughened ourselves up!

I just hope people actually show up in their seats unlike the DC game last Wednesday.

60% chance of t-storms in the aft. We may not get anything though... The forecast keeps changing. I don't care if it rains at all. Holding a big ass flag pole when there's lightning around...well, that may not be such a good idea.

I think if the stadium is aluminum, one flag pole won't matter too much.

Wonder what BMO Field's policy is re: Lightning?

I remember watching a Chicago Bears game at Soldier Field years ago when they actually stopped the game and cancelled it due to that.

Mind you, it was only a preseason game.

Fifa rules, as far as i remember them when i was a ref, are that first crack of lightening, game gets called - for everyone's safety.

Ref will call the game if he feels as though the lightning is a risk.

I was scouting a Pittsburgh Steelers game two years ago and they cleared out the standing when a storm rolled in, the game was delayed for about 30 or minutes.

They even stopped the "Supporter's Cup" last year due to lightning. I don't care if it rains - but hopefully no lightning!

I wasn't in Charleston but if I remember correctly the rain was accompanying a passing tornado or hurricane or something like that. So it wasn't JUST lightning.

LOL never listen to the weather network, its always wrong, it ruins my days most of the time. I either thinks its raining so I won't do the thing I was gonna do, then it doesn't rain, or it says it will be sunny, hey what do you know, it rains

I hope it rains; it feels very English. My wife, on the other hand, will be pissed.

Rain seems to be forecasted for every home game we have now. Kinda wild.

It does seem that way - though the Kansas City game was so sunny I had to buy a hat, as I'd bought neither a hat nor shades based on the forecast.

Might not be too bad, won't be freezing - though could be windy. But it's only showers, not rain.

Why didn't the Jays fans protest? Why didn't the Argos fans protest when the Jays played at Exhibition Stadium? PUSSIES! Skydome isn't specific for anything!! Seriously though...I think the place was designed as an "entertainment" complex, so it's built for everything...which means it sucks for everything as well.

Hey, it doesn't matter if the stadium was made of rubber...playing on an open field and fans watching from elevated seats during a lightning storm is not good. I don't know of any sport that wouldn't be suspended during those conditions. Looks like 60% chance of t-stoms in the aft. That doesn't mean anything will happen during the match.

Ughh, I don't want rain againnnn..

not because I will get wet, but because the turf get so slick and our style of play goes to shit...but I'm not really worried because its not like it will take Guevara and Robert out of the game, because they aren't even playing.
