    Between the crappy reffing
    and the lure of Newcastle...
    i bet that's the case.

It's really unfair of him to do this to the team at this point in the season.
We are just turning the corner after a not so great stretch.

I guess something was up last week, and that's why cummins was doing the press yesterday, and had the coy answers regarding where Carver will be for future games.

Something has to be going on behind the scenes, JC has great passion for the game, it came through each time I saw him at BMO and when he did interviews. If you are from England and soccer is your life, the Premier League is where you want to be, heck most people in the world would want to also.

I know some people will just crap on him as being a quitter, I would never say that, he has great passion for this team and he expressed it, I just think there is no better place than home.

This is not good...because no matter what you thought of him, this looks bad on the organization, and is a poor reflection on Mo. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall with Mo, getting ready to throw him under the bus. Maybe he has an offer for next season...maybe he is pissed at Mo for trading a functional CB and then trying to blame him for losses...it could be so many things and we are very likely never to find out why exactly..
It could be all of those things IF you forget the fact that this is the MLS. It can only be spun to be earth shattering IF you forget the fact that this is the MLS.

Players aspire to the highest level. The MLS is not the highest level. Good players will move overseas. The players that remain are either not good enough to play overseas or on the downside of their careers.

The same is true for a coach. A coach desires to "raise his game" just as much as players. If Carver indeed lands back in the EPL, he is in the EPL for pete's sake.

That sure beats playing to crowds of under 10,000 on the road. It beats qualifying for our version of a Champions League.

I'm sure he did enjoy his time here. Just as players enjoy their time in the AHL or "AAA" Pacific Coast League for baseball. But they want more.

Don't read too much into this. Accept what this is. It is most likely a coach with aspirations and a desire for the big show. We are not the big show.

    Nothing more. Nothing less.

While I agree there is a certain amount of perfessionalism required. Wait til the season is over, wait until the team is stable enough and found another replacement, etc. etc. Don't leave em high and dry.

Many coaches have done this, the last one I could remember is Roy Williams when he left Kansas for UNC, he waited til the end of the season.

nope. at least not until he states his reasons. and if it's the DP thing then sure. but i can't see him leaving now over a DP.

it's Newcastle and his new shower buddy Alan.

Agreed. MLSE wouldn't have pulled the plug just 5 games in.

It wasn't because of the refs because he tolerated them all last season.

The DP thing doesn't add up because the team hasnt played downright awful this season, just underachieved.

Maybe we can get Steve McLaren to leave FCT for TFC.

Very poor record in MLS and quits on the team at the first opportunity, what a joke. I can't believe people continue to get snookered by this mediocre con man. That geordie accent won't bail you out in Newcastle, John, not that it will probably matter on that doomed franchise. I see this as very positive for TFC.

Honestly we don't need thank you banners... he hasn't done anything. The idea was that we trusted him to DO SOMETHING with the team, and all he's done is leave... with a high probability that he left for a better job opportunity and nothing else.

maybe we were going to let him go... so they gave him the option to have some dignity and quit before he got "fired".

    it could happen.
