Just a thought...with the incidents that went on at Columbus last weekend there's going to be a lot of attention on the league this weekend. Do you think that the pink/rainbow streamers are a good idea? I know it's not in the same league as the 'N' word, but it could very well be played up by the media as homophobic.
I'm not trying to rain on everyone's parade here, but I'm just suggesting that we be careful that the rest of the league doesn't start looking at us the same way that they are looking at Columbus right now.

Agreed. I would consider not throwing the pink/rainbow streamers because it actually is kind of homophobic, not because of the attention of the league. Other than the fact that Donovan might not be gay, it's not much different than chucking bananas on the pitch.

I disagree, in my mind the pink streamers have nothing to do with his sexual orientation they're to imply he's an effeminate little girl, rainbow streamers well that's another matter as it is undeniably a gay symbol. The throwing of bananas is on a completely different level it was blatant racism promoting the belief that Blacks are monkeys.
