    Default Who Youre Supporting Tommorow

Although the TFC game is our main focus. This thread is dedicated to determining the teams which it is in the best interest of a TFC fan to win tomorrow.

This week is fairly easy with all the east vs. west games but this will involve increasingly more analysis.

Basically, if the following teams win, TFC has a better chance of making the playoffs.

    DAL TOR 4:00PMPreview
    TV: DK, Match CenterRadio: KZM

Toronto FC: If you can't figure this one out, you are retarded.

CHI SJ 4:00PMPreviewTV: TeleFuturaRadio: KDOW, SJRN, WRTO

San Jose: Although we very well could be battling a team from the west for a final wild card spot, the fact is we are battling east teams for a divisional spot and a wild card spot. It is almost always, especially this early in the season, in our best interest to see teams from the west beat other eastern teams. This is because we are equally likely to be battling and eastern team for that wild card spot, but would not be battling a western team for it, as they cannot have that spot. So its more ok for western teams to have points instead of eastern teams. If you cant figure it out yet, use this hypothetical. Say every team in the west wins every game all season and all east west games go to the western team, except one game which goes to tfc after their victory over FC Dallas: That means the west will suck up all the wildcard spots, but it cannot suck up our top eastern spots, those would be left for the top eastern team, TFC. Whereas if the non tfc east wins all those games they take our wild card spots and our top eastern teams spots. Though this is an extreme, you can see any degree to which western teams win more over eastern treams other than TFC, leaves more spots in the east for TFC. Eastern teams losing means more spots avalible for TFC, plain and simple.

DC RSL 6:00PMPreviewTV: DK, Match CenterRadio: KALL, KTUB, WACA, WFED, WLXE, WYSK, WZHF

    San Jose: See above

COL CLB 7:30PMPreviewTV: DK, Match CenterRadio: WTVN

    Colorado: See above

NY HOU 8:30PMPreviewTV: FSC, FSERadio: KBME, KEYH, WQBU

    Houston: See above

KC SEA 10:30PMPreviewTV: DK, Match Center

Seattle: See above (additionally it appears seattle is unlikely to be fighting us for even a wild card spot)

CHV LA 10:30PMPreviewTV: Deportes, ESPN2Radio: KLAC, KWKW, XEWW
Chivas: This one is tricky, ideally we would get a tie, as that would mean less total points allocated. I pick Chivas, because it appears they will be less likely to be challenging us in the wildcard race. Thus them getting points doesnt really effect us, as much.

Now we can all passionately watch MLS all day.

I'm supporting Man Utd against Sunderland because I'm stuck in the Niagara Region!

Oh and TFC, I couldn't care less about the rest of the league.

I'd like Seattle to beat KC, but I'd also like Seattle to go on a winless skid sooner or later. Mostly because I'm tired of hearing about how amazing and wonderful they are, from every MLS news source on the planet.

I think Seattle is a great market, with great support, and I have no malice towards them, aside from when they play my club - but man, am I the only one tired of hearing about them?

The way this league is set up and playoff spots assigned, there really isn't anything to say about what would be preferable in terms of results at this point. Its just too unpredictable with the east/west top 3 and 2 wildcards.

Sure, we want Eastern teams to lose. Except if we aren't in the top 3, and western teams are getting more points, etc, etc..

The only thing that works consistantly is that draws put fewer total points out there. Thats never a bad thing.

    Now, personal preferences, sure thing....
That's all I'll say about that.

Now we know how everyone else felt about us when we first started up.

Seriously though, I hear ya. It would be interesting to see how their fans take a loss. They just, ya know, have to lose first.

This is not about caring about the rest of the league, yes we know 99% of you don't care and probably don't know all the team names of the other clubs in this league. This question was about who we would like to see faulter, in order to benefit TFC's playoff chances. It seems that everytime something is mentioned about the rest of the league some yahoos have to come out here to remind everyone about how they could care less about the rest of the MLS. Just remember, without the other teams teams there would be no TFC.

    COME ON COLORADO!!!!!

The Chivas and Sounders matches are very interesting seeing as both are perfect in record. If they both win then this sets up a very nice 'perfection' race very early in the season in the West and if these two meet up and are still undefeated then expect a very nice, physical match.

Of course. What I did was show you which team is more likely to be battling with us for a spot.

It's early for this talk but I like the fact some are getting interested in the rest of the league. It's not difficult now that most teams have a "T.O. reject".

It is our league like it or lump it.
