I think these types of players are what Toronto is missing...We really have no "deals" to speak of..

I think that that is an appropriate price for Wynne. His passing, defending, and ball control are suspect, he just makes up for it in speed. I'd rather have Segares

    Cooper doesn't count.

He would have been given a raise last season if he had not made it abundantly clear that he was going to Europe as soon as his contract expires.

Same with Holden. Holden was offered a contract by Houston to upgrade his pay, but he didn't want to sign longterm.. he's waiting for his MLS contract to end and then he's gone.

I need to see more from Kandji to see if his 90K is a deal or not. It might be "just right" rather than a bargain. I'm also not sold on Nagamura as being a "bargain" at almost 100K. Yeah he scored 2 goals on the other day, but that's a fluke and I wasn't particularly impressed with him with TFC or last season. He's a useful player but not worth more than 98K.

Remember, bargain means the player should be getting more than they are getting.

Regarding Vitti.. he might be worth 300K but he's only played 1 game so who knows?
Also, talk on Big Soccer is that Montero is making more than 155K but that allocation money was used to pay down his salary against the cap.

Also, as we saw with some TFC players, and guys like Schellotto, the first year of a contract can be less than subsequent years (Schellotto was making 150K in the end of season report in 2007, and then at August 2008 he was listed at 375K.. he didn't renegotiate between those years). So they go low on the first year, and then in the second it bumps up. So Hurtado might be 37K in his first season, with a deal that sees a bump up to 90K (or whatever) in year 2. That way the guy has to prove himself, and if he does, they renew the contract.

    SEA Hurtado John Kennedy D $ 3 6,000.00 $ 37,000.00

Does seattle own Hurtado's contract, because that number is unbelievable for a player of his quality.

either he's getting allocation money that doesn't count against the cap number, or he's got a backloaded multi year contract.

Funny note about Stuart Holden is that he use to play Counterstrike professionally and was on a very top team in North America.

^ That's hilarious, I used to be big into CS and CAL. I remember a Holden, didn't know it was him.

Gotta be something like that. That's not much m ore (or even less) than he was making in Colombia. (They spelled his first name wrong, too, it's Jhon).

Also hard to believe Celades settled for $125,000. Must just be in it for the competititon, as he's made his millions already.

    MLS Overpaid:

How can DD have to go down to $120K, Ronnie O gets waived because he won't take a pay cut....

but Jeff Cunningham stays at $257K? Dallas deserves to finish last for that alone.

(Sorry for hijacking the thread, but that just bugs me.)

Barrett also only scores 1-in-5, but at least he works for it.

Cunty has missed two absolute sitters in two games, no surprise.
