Default So has the turf been umm...... fluffed?

A few people have mention that the turf can be peeled back and some sort of material under it raked and groomed or something so its not so compact. Has it been done? Is there a big difference?
Why don't they do it more often? Will I really get hairy palms if I play with my ding doing?

I believe this is part of the scheduled maintenance of the fieldturf.

From what I gather, the FT had divets and sunken areas and was uneven at the end of season 1, and has made the fieldturf situation worse than it should be.

You won't get hairy palms, but you might go blind.

What does that mean exactly? - not to sound too FT ignorant or anything - but does that mean they'll get it back to day one standards?? You'd think it would be in their best interests selling the stuff.

Someone mentioned to me that they get a vacuum machine which moves over the pitch and picks up all the rubber bits and mixes them up better before putting them back down. Sorta makes sense if true.

It's about time FIFA made a third forth and fifth star then....because BMOs can't possibly be the highest category worldwide....

...not that I've played on better, but...it's just not that good....and it makes my feet hurt....

little info on field turf rataings

    http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/develo...allations.html

The FIFA RECOMMENDED 1 Star is mainly for recreational, community and municipal use; however, it still has to go through a series of stringent tests before the highly respected FIFA certificate is issued. Indeed, there are only 50 pitches around the globe which carry this mark.

The FIFA RECOMMENDED 2 Star for artificial turf is designed specifically to mirror the playing characteristics of professional football. FIFA final round competitions and top UEFA competitions have the FIFA RECOMMENDED 2 Star in their respective competition regulations.
