Default From the Columbus Crew Blog

"I'm told ticket sales are going "OK" for Saturday's opener and that the stadium's entire south end will be filled by Toronto fans. The number of supporters who make the trip down from Toronto won't approach the 2,300 or so that showed up last year but they are certain to add to a lively atmosphere."

Really? I thought there was a good chance we'd beat last years number!

    Watching Columbus Struggle is hilarious/amusing.

The numbers will be close to last years.
We have sold out the south end, and we're filling up the upper east side again.

With the likely rain, the soccer moms will likely stay home...so it'll be mainly Red in their Stadium.

Agreed, honestly we have a large group going. I don't see the obsesion with this otherwise. Lets go and support the team, doesn't matter where or when, its what we do!

ive herd we will have 1,500 - 2,000 fans in Columbus this year. A little down from last years 2,300 but thats probably because
    1) its not are first game of the season like last year. And
    2) some people probably prefer to go to a different away city this year. I mean alot of people probably prefer not to go to shitty columbus again and rather Chicago or somethin this year.

we beat last years number for how many RPB's are going. Last year we sold 600 RPB tickets and this year we have sold 712 tickets through the RPB's. But last year TFC was selling busses to the more casual fans as well...they dont seem to be doing that this year. So thats a reason are ticket sales probably wont reach 2,300.But we still are gonna have over 1,500 fans making the trip which aint bad.

The fact that TFC is not promoting away trips themselves is probably more the reason.

Proway is running stuff again this year, but the club is not involved.

This year the trip is mostly SG driven which is GREAT!

EDIT: You mention this in your second post.
