    Default Proof extra time sucks

Shep Messing has to be the most uniformed comentator in all of sports, and we all know that Lalas kid got the job becuase of his big brother.

So lets see how much these two know based on their first week predictions

    Shep

    NY vs Sea WRONG
    Clb vs Hou WRONG
Chi vs Dal (good job shep!)
TFC vs KC (affraid to say anything bad about TFC after dichio comments)
    SJ vs NE WRONG
    Col vs Chiv WRONG
    DC vs LA WRONG

    Lalas

    NY vs Sea DRAW INCORRECT
Clb vs Hou DRAW a lone bright spot
Chi vs Dal this shouldnt count
    KC vs TFC INCORRECT
    SJ vs NE INCORRECT
    Col vs Chiv DRAW INCORRECT
    DC vs LA INCORRECT

The results Shep was 2 for 7
and Lalas was 2 for 7

These 2 guys SUCK! when will MLS realize this and fire them?
can it get any worse then 4-14 from suppposid MLS experts?

Although its not news that these guys are a waste of time and space, it is good have the statistics to back it up.

Maybe a tab should be kept for the seasons worth of predictions, if they're under 30% on the year then i'll have a real good laugh about it.

In fairness, I also probably would have picked NY over SEA, and SJ over NE.

haha.. show me a thread that is constructive use of time. Semantics aside, I think its worth calling out Shep and Lalas for the frauds that they are.

If anything, they're predicting at chance (meaning a donkey could be as accurate).

Is this akin to TSN using a monkey from the Bowmanville zoo to predict the NHL playofs a few years ago by spinning a wheel for grapes?

If I remember right "Maggie the Monkey" beat quite a few of the experts that year

Well FWIW in comparison, I predicted:

    NY over Seattle 2-1
    Columbus over Houston 1-0
    Chicago over Dallas 2-1
    TFC over KC 2-1
    Chivas-Colorado draw 1-1
    SJ-NE draw 1-1
    LA-DC draw 2-2

I'm 3 for 7, for 42%. Although I've only been following the league since TFC came in.

it jsut seems to me that they chose the same teams in many circumstances and it looks silly on them,

ie the NE vs SJ, it wasnt clear who would win, NE's team has been torn apart, but SJ has had its share of problems too, one should pick SJ to win, and one pick NE and give an explination as to why each team could win, then they would at least be informative, instead of shep picking a team, and lalas saying "i agree"

picking winners is always tough, particularly in a parity league.
