Here's a dumb question...are Canadians legally allowed to bet using a service like bwin?

I honestly know jack shit about gambling.

Yes, because technically you are betting in a different country.

i know loads of people who have accounts. while i don't know the ins and outs of "legal," i think i heard somewhere it is because the money is being wagered outside the country.

i have no idea if there is any truth to that. but they've been gambling for years and years without problem.

shows like "drive this" on the score and "inside the lines" on the fan are probably a good indication that it's ok to wager ... they talk about their books/lines etc. throughout both (canadian) shows.

i find pinnacle has the best prices, but not quite as many "options" as bwin (which has ohl lines, even).

TFC looks downright juicy at that price. On lesser known sports/leagues, often times bookmakers dont take into account roster updates for the first game of the season.

If anyone is gonna slap some cash on TFC, parlay it with the over - you have to figure KC is gonna score at least one at home against us. The payout would be well over $600 on a $100 wager.

You hound, that's like betting against us, given that KCs only averaged about 1.3 against over its last dozen games.

Take the under. You'll probably lose money, but given that they're more likely to score two than we are, you'll be losing money to support the home team.

Or, don't bet at all! Bet against the Shite Bulls on the over in case Montero's as effective as hype, bet for them to win. There. That makes me feel better.

Wow, if my money could talk, it would probably ask me to treat it with more respect than I do.

iTs perfectly legal as long as your 18.

theres tones of accounts like bowmans and bwin in Europe the only hassel is getting your cheques sent to you, if you do win of course

I use sportsinteraction.com dece site not as many lines as bowmans but it has perks and its based in north america.

i used to use paddypower but don't have the money to spend (ie throw away) anymore.

some people consider it a mortal sin but I'm one of those people that will always bet against the team they support, to get some bit of consolation from losing. It's like I'm paying 10 pound or so to see my team win

    at pinnacle, toronto is +302.
not sure if we're just overly optimistic here but, wow, what a price.

on the goal line they're +0.5.

    may take both.

i wasn't saying that when dero lofted the pk to the moon.

i put a few more on it prior to kick-off as i got jacked.
the line went down to +270 by game time.
so had the +302, the +270, and the +0.5.

I wish I had bet the over as well. I was going to but bwin wouldn't let me combine the bets and I forgot about it after I had to delete it.

i use sports interaction as well... that price was too good to pass up, and honestly, i'm way up when it comes to betting on TFC - we always seem to get decent prices, especially away

Just took TFC @ 4.35 on bwin parlayed with RSL over SSFC. $20 pays $313. RSL is a decent team this year and I think Seattle will come down a bit after the Opening Day high.

I don't parlay very often but the last two weeks I liked my odds. This week I think RSL @ 3.60 is a steal.

RSL has unreal odds, Seattle plays one game, and they are strong favorites to win...what gives

Chicago at 2.9 is another stong play imo

I've got a super Heinz going for this weekend:

    28 Mar 2009 - Columbus v Toronto FC - 90 Minutes
    Toronto FC @ 16/5

    28 Mar 2009 - D. C. United v Chicago Fire - 90 Minutes
    Draw @ 11/5

    28 Mar 2009 - New York Red Bulls v New England - 90 Minutes
New York Red Bulls @ 13/10

    29 Mar 2009 - Colorado v Kansas City - 90 Minutes
    Draw @ 21/10

    29 Mar 2009 - Seattle v Real Salt Lake - 90 Minutes
    Real Salt Lake @ 13/5

    29 Mar 2009 - San Jose Earthquakes v Houston Dynamo - 90 Minutes
    Houston Dynamo @ 17/10

    29 Mar 2009 - Dallas v Chivas - 90 Minutes
    Dallas @ 11/10
