Vitti adds an Argentine punch
'We don't speak the same language but are understanding each other on the field'

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Pablo Vitti speaks very little English.
But the Argentine striker has no problem understanding his role with Toronto FC.
Signed early in training camp, the 23-year-old Vitti has been brought in to add some offensive punch to a team that scored just 34 goals in 30 games last season, tied for second worst in Major League Soccer.
So far, so good.
In the two games he played in the Carolina Challenge Cup here, Vitti looked comfortable in his new surroundings.

If overweight stand-up comics have taught us anything it is that jokes mask insecurity.
John Carver must have felt a similar insecurity on Saturday when Toronto FC fell 2-1 in the final of the Carolina Challenge Cup.
"The one thing for sure is that we are going to be in great condition if we keep playing games with 10 men," Carver said; clearly agitated in the wake of the 2-1 Carolina Challenge Cup loss to Real Salt Lake.
