He made 2 poor decisions in 1 game. He has 1 career red card in over 50 MLS games played, so nobody can crucify him because he doesn't have any history of this kind of stuff.
If he was a regular offender, then what happened yesterday would fit into a long line of conduct. But I think something about his reputation has circulated and caused people to think he's rash and undisciplined.
For now I chalk it up to rust. DC also saw two guys get reds (one being a Canadian defender as well) so it's just a sign of spring training rust to me.
I thought the rest of his game looked pretty good, and better than Marshall, who he replaced.
