Default In case anyone harboured the belief we might get Grella one day...

...he's doing very well at Leeds, apparently. Has five goals in two reserve matches and has made three first-team sub appearances in his first month.

Eek. Nice that MoJo took a flyer on him, though. Proves again he knows his players.

I'm not taking anything away from Mo (I'm a supporter, not a critic of his) but everyone knew that Grella was the best player in the NCAA system. He would have gone 1st overall if he didn't make it clear to everyone that he was going Europe (and no one doubted that he wouldn't catch on somewhere).

It's a pattern for Mo he realizes that most 4th round and later picks don't make the team so he drafts a player that would make the team but has intentions in Europe. First year it was Darryl Roberts, last year it was Joseph Lapira (although he seems slightly overrated/a bust considering he's playing in a semi-pro league in Norway) and this year Grella. One of these years a player isn't going to catch on in Europe and it's going to pay off big time.
