The stadium looked fantastic yesterday.
It looks fantastic.
It should be fairly simple to install revolving billboards to promote the Argos on their game days without impacting the TFC game day experience.
I would also be disappointed if there were...
When all is said and done, it will genuinely have the look of a traditional world class stadium. I'm sure the gaps under the roof and in the North End will be dealt with in due course.
We've come...
I think BMO Field will be the best venue yet to host an outdoor game. It will be far more intimate than past games and offer decent sight lines. It should be a fantastic event.
I love the idea of a huge mural to fill in the gap under the roof of the south end. It would solve the problem regarding the elements and also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the stadium.
The lighting should definitely enhance the look of the stadium for TFC and Argo games. Hence all the night games that have been scheduled for both clubs this season, which is just fine by me.
I drove by on Lakeshore yesterday on the way to a meeting, and it looks fantastic.
According to Kurt's article, the paint MLSE has settled on is the 3rd from the left. I have to say, that is impressive.
Thanks for the update. I'm not thrilled with the ground sharing issue, but it definitely seems as though MLSE is pulling out all the stops to preserve the integrity of the game day experience for TFC...
I'm glad to see there will be temporary seating in the North End for TFC matches.
It's starting to take shape. It's going to look a lot more imposing when it's done.
A retractable north stand would be a nice finishing touch to the stadium. It's really my only gripe with the design other than the ground sharing issue.
If that's the result after only one garden hosing, maybe it will work after all?
It's always going to be a challenge to come close to selling out TFC matches though, which will impact the game day experience live and on television. I hope I'm wrong and that a good product on the...
It's going to be one of the more unique looking stadiums in the league, with more of a traditional feel to it. Other than the open north end to accommodate a CFL end zone, I like the design.
I think it's just the angle that makes it appear that way. The West and East roofs are supposed to be symmetrical. It will balance the optics of the stadium when construction is completed.
It does seem like a step backwards. For a multi-use facility, I guess that's the best design we could hope for. It would have been nice to have retractable/removable bleachers to fill out the north...
