Just passively listening to podcasts, interviews, etc. I keep hearing 5 million cap and another DP slot keep coming up too much to think it's not just a coincidence.

I don't live anywhere near Toronto anymore so I watch a ton of games on MLS Live, those commentators had to be the biggest homers I've ever heard do a game.

I've seen beer league games with more hustle. I wouldn't take much stock from this game. Get the impression this is being used as more of a run around then a statement on where we are as a team.

Don't think how they do at WC affects reputation. Look at England, there team is going nowhere and people still know they have some of the greatest clubs in the world.

I agree with you. But in a market the size of Toronto it's going to be tough always identifying the best players, especially when there's only 30 spaces or so per age group. Even a team like Ajax...

You can't expect every kid from the GTA who gets called up to these teams to be from the TFCA. It's not a knock on the TFCA, or there ability to identify talent. Having 5 kids called up is fantastic.

Agreed. A great thing about the academy kids is they're young enough they don't need to make an immediate impact. The drafted players do.
