Has it been decided for certain that next season will begin in March given no fans in the seats? Look at the NHL. They seem determined to delay the start of their season as long as possible.
A million dollars in Toronto would get you a semi in Rexdale.
He could still go out and get a new DP, however only spend $1.7MM vs $6MM.
I would love to be able to review the club's financial statements for 2020. I wouldn't be surprised if the net losses were in the mid 8 figures.
Totally agree. VV was DP quality on TAM salary. In 2017 we had 4 legitimate DP quality players. In 2020 we had 1, which is why we are now out of the playoffs.
No its about $1.6MM. The issue with Piatti is not the salary but his health.
I would not bring back Piatti, even as a TAM. We have too many older, and injury prone players on the team. We need to get younger.
Given Bradley's tenure, status in the club, and leadership, he is one player they may want to accommodate even if he is not the best fit in a certain position. I can see the club wanting to move on...
Does anyone see Bradley being converted to a CB? He played a few games in that role when Moor was injured and did a commendable job. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3 man rotation at CB next year...
With the regular season now completed and the next game over 2 weeks away, this seems like a good time to speculate on who is staying and who is leaving.
Staying:
Achara
Akinola
Bono ...
I believe Poz has 2 seasons left on his contract after this season so you want to be able to put together as strong a lineup as possible while he is here. This means getting a quality and durable...
How about Andrej Kramaric, the Croatian International Striker with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga?
He had 12 goals in 19 games last season, and has 6 goals in 3 games this season. He is 29 years...
I agree. The TFC fan base is hardcore but small, and Toronto has shown itself to be a fickle sports town that only supports teams that are trendy at the moment, like the Raptors are now, with maybe...
[QUOTE=OgtheDim;1924074]MLS teams that would do that right now?
Nashville
Cinci
Portland
Chicago
DCU
Colorado
RSL
Houston
I find it hard to believe that any team would be seriously interested in Jozy given his age, injuries and contract, but if TFC can find a taker then make that move asap and start the car
Although I didn't attend the NYC game the next Saturday the Reds were scheduled to play at home in the afternoon with the Raptors playing at home at night, a game that I had managed to get tickets...
If they allowed a limited amount of spectators to attend a match at BMO next week would anyone go? I wouldn't but I bet there are those that would.
That game against NYC in which Achara scored seems like a lifetime ago, yet it was only seven months. How the world has changed
Well we are known as "The Reds"
Thanks.
I keep raising this same question but no one has ever replied. If we buy-out Jozy does his contract still count against the cap? If so then we may not have room to get another striker. I don't...
Does anyone know MLS rules in terms of contract buy- out? If they buy him out can they still get another DP?
This would then explain why this season seems to be unravelling. The dressing room must be toxic.
We badly need a quality and reliable Striker. Would have liked to get Cavallini. Is there a way to get rid of Jozy's contract? What do MLS rules permit for contract buy-outs?
