One thing I noticed is that the place was full and there were still a lot of people watching the game from the south concourse and from the patio, like usual. That place was legitimately packed.

MLSE will bill it as "in-stands fan-centric entertainment."

I wonder if those will be small clear panels to let some light in, or maybe those are just access panels. I'm sure they will be filled in either way.

Seems they aren't quite ready to lay the pitch but this February weather is not helping things. I'd expect it has to happen soon.

The multiple times the design has been scaled back is nothing short of a bait and switch, and some DC administrators and politicians are figuring it out. I'd be irate if I was a DCU supporter....

That's wayyyyyy too many seats in the north patio. I doubt it could support that kind of weight. That graphic is junk.

Much better idea of what it's going to look like now after seeing those photos. The view from the north patio is impressive. The gap on the east is bigger than I thought it would be.

Seems from the design, the high canopy over the South End won't do much to block rain but I'm also concerned about sun shade for summer afternoon games. Having a bit of shade will help the energy...

Red Bull Arena and Sporting Park (or what ever the official name is now) changed the equation for soccer stadiums in N. America. Even stadiums built on limited budgets like Avaya in San Jose ($100M)...

This decent December weather should help the construction schedule.

Just a dumb thought: doesn't the concave shape of that roof seem problematic for snow accumulation? I wonder if will have heating elements to get the snowpack off.
