So how about Nick Deleon? I liked him when he first came onto the scene as a midfielder, but I'm not sure about him as a fullback. How do you think Bez or Vanney see him being used?

I figure they're expecting that TV revenue sharing will make up for any loss of home dates.
^ I posted that idea on Big Soccer a couple of months ago, based on someone else's idea. I think that conference group stage playoffs would be awesome. Each winner plays MLS cup the following week....
^ It makes sense to finish the season before the October international break to give teams time to sell tickets to their games. The four weeks between the October and November international breaks...
Even without our best players, Canada shouldn't have lost. There needs to be more quality coaching at the U5-U17 level to improve our results.
They're not eliminated yet, but it's not looking good. This bothers me - we're supposed to start seeing Academy products coming through the system at this point that could make the senior squads, and...
Now that would be interesting - it could lead to a precursor of Pro-Rel in MLS. If for the first season, they add 6 MLS clubs, 6 Liga MX clubs, and 6 clubs from the rest of CONCACAF, they could have...
^ I found it interesting how he deflected from the question that basically asked why he was still employed by the team. Apparently, many of these questions came from the fans through twitter that the...
^ Was he really that bad? How much can be laid at the feet of their Head Office or owner?
I'd say Laura Armstrong over at the Star has taken up the reporting mantle in T.O. And we still have Molinaro.
And just for giggles, remember this thread?

I wonder what the poll would say now?
^ Well, for the leagues that matter, it's offseason.
But Doyle still has the link in his Week 15 analysis article, but it's broken now. I saw and read it last night. Other than that, nary a peep from the MLS sides. I don't think Garber wants MLS to be...
We don't know that the Crew are gone yet. What I do know is that if the Crew stay, then Detroit will not be getting a franchise.
I prefer him as a fisherman in the other nike ad. :)
I don't think so - didn't he play in a friendly against an MLS club and basically loafed his way through part of the match before his incensed coach subbed him off? I don't think he still rates MLS...
Conversely, Most of the Montreal hate comes from Toronto Fans, and there are only 4 comments about Vancouver relating to their style of play - even less vitriol than Minnesota.
^ You mean the one where he ends off more or less apologizing for his views? :)
Of course they'll get only one Concacaf League slot. Sorry if my wording made it appear I thought otherwise. Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, and Costa Rica all have 1 CCL berth and 2 League berths....
Canada won't be getting another CCL slot. What we probably *will* be getting is a Concacaf league slot, where the winner gets the final slot in the CCL. In my mind, this would be perfect for the CPL...
I think we'll see Marky and Oso gone to Europe sooner than later.
The AG for the State of Ohio invoking the Modell Law is what happened. Go look in the Big Soccer forums to get a good idea of what's going on in Columbus and how it's affecting the expansion process....
They put TFC second because they know it would generate hits and views. I don't put much stock in it.
So were those SSH losses due to cannibalism from LAFC? I could see some people switching allegiances to team in closer proximity to their homes.
^I'd rep this post if I could. Miami is where all the rich Central Americans fly into for a day of shopping. I could see them taking an interest in a team there.
