Pook the point is that a packed stadium makes more of a impact to people wanting to come out and watch, than finding out how many folks watch the league/game on tv and handing out freebies does not...
I would love to see the ratings for the Argos specifically from the 416 area. Even just the Ontario numbers for the Argos would be an eye opener...I think if would change your tune a bit as well.
Hmm so the Houstan and Dallas would oppose a team in their regions, but somehow the Bills would be ok with Toronto team which would take revenue away from the Bills. After paying over a billion...
Argos are 4th priority for game dates, it is mentioned earlier in this thread and was confirmed by an exec I believe Manning mentioned it...and CCL matches are still TFC matches I dont think it the 5...
Pookie lets wait to discuss whats not working with the ground share when the ccl matches begin next season and there are scheduled CNWT, CNMT matches along with the Canada Rugby matches...because as...
Kurt any other 'surprises' we can expect?
bottom line they will never fill the stadium no matter how many signs they put up...
well when i picked up a couple of Seasons for the Wolfpack, they informed me that they are looking to move into BMO Field in the next couple of years...without me even bringing it up...also i did...
Just for discussion purposes, suppose the Argos make a profit from the Grey Cup, why not invest that money in their own stadium shared with YorkU Lions...then they dont have to complain about the...
and thats what we keep saying no one is watching from the 416 where the team is located...hence empty stadium...which is why i makes sense to move the team to a location outside the 416 or to the...
i can understand Pookie's argument there, for instance when we thought the value for tickets wasnt worth the on field product, many complained to their ticket reps which made it to either Leiweke or...
next season we'll have mid week champions league matches as well...
all it mean is that they will have to decrease the amount of freebies they give out!!! lol...
but seriously i still think they need to hook up with a University either YorkU or UofT, similar to...
I was referring to the guys before braley, but still I think we have to take that article with a grain salt...may have some truths like how important the Grey Cup is essential for a CFL team to keep...
one thing that i don't understand is that the Argos were getting more to come out to the dome, had a couple of grey cups, but those to guys that owned the team were crying about the money losing...
Unlike skydome these guys are paying a lot of rent to be at BMO Field. Its a matter of time before they will no longer be able to afford to play at BMO Field. I dont see them getting the sweet...
so what happens when the champions league matches are played within a couple of days of a pointy ball match...that will happen next season.
oh btw on average in Toronto in June 66mm of rain, July...
what was with the advertisement for the next home game (BCvTOR) at Bmo field. the casual fans would have thought that it was TFC's home game...a little misleading, especially during out sellout...
iv played soccer and rugby...like all sports even tennis injuries are unavoidable...i'm just referring to how parents perceive certain sports to be more dangerous than others and thus they avoid...
I dont see it as wanting a Canadian tradition to fail...i see it as the evolution of sport, pointy ball is a dangerous sport that has the evidence to show that head injuries have a long term...
at that time the entire league was doing this package deal, and lets not forget we were a first year team, argos are not! also the argos are bundling this package with free admission to the CNE?...
from what i heard the wolfpack already have 4K SSH and they dont begin play until 2017...what will the argos owners say when a new transatlantic team has more SSH than them....what would the next...
I have to disagree with you, the Argos are paying rent its not cheap to play at BMO...they can only have losses for so long before there is no money to pay rent...i am sure they will try to partner...
$20 for the southend and they still can't fill that up? these guys are in denial about the love for the argos...when will they wake up...
