And that's one of the big reasons for the reno...the Leafs centennial season is coming up in 16/17 I think and Winter Classic vs the Habs is on tap.
Maybe a bad analogy but if anyone was a 'rasslin' fan back in the late 80's and into the early 90s when did you ever see a guy like Hogan or the Ultimate Warrior 'rassle' on TV? Never. All they ever...
It doesn't feel that way lol
Maybe that's because we're stuck with the Jays lol
The Yankees have their own Network and get insane ratings.
Baseball is popular but I think its still recovering from 94s strike.
Hockey is too watered down now just not many people want to admit it.
I thought my knowledge was better although I was semi close I said the MLB cap was between 150 and 175mil and anything over had the luxury tax
Right now until the end of 2016 the MLB salary cap is...
is MLBs only 100mil per team? I'm sure its higher no?
MLB has a soft cap you pay a luxury tax after I think 150 or 175mil
NHL - could hit 70-75mil per team with a hard cap this year
NFL - 144mil this year but the last 3 seasons its gone up...
I think the idea is there in getting world class players, but part of that I think is the limited TV deal MLS has.
Again, I think getting a World Cup in the US would help MLS go to the next level.
I think MLS could be the 2nd best league in NA down the road next to the NFL.
What I personally believe will set it apart if it happens is if the USA & Canada (but mainly the US) gets the World Cup...
Actually that's a false statement. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. He built the stadium with his own bare hands lol...It was called Cowboys Stadium for 3 or 4 seasons before they got AT&T to pony...
