This is long overdue. It's been a problem since BMO opened. A good portion of the stadium come from the GO Station or Liberty Village when heading to the games.
York U stadium would need significant upgrades to accommodate the Argos. There is ample space to add additional grandstands but the main grandstand is small (3700 capacity).

Looking outside, it’s crazy to think there will be match in a couple of days. The grounds crew have dealt with such extreme weather so far this season. They need a vacation!!

I would think an 45500 capacity for the world cup would include permanent and temporary seats.
According to the City of Toronto website, the replacement begins in spring 2018 with anticipated completion by end of June 2018.

Towards the end of the game Gignac made a few runs and cuts that ripped up big chunks of turf. 3 matches in a little over a week in early March will reek havoc on any turf.
