Davidson posted they brought out the mowers soon after the game last night - probably to get the lines out a bit more.
Seems 3 days isn't enough time to lose the lines.

Its the day before Halloween & likely our most important match of the season so far is approximately 97 hours away. So necroing this thread seems appropriate. :)
While waiting for the TFC game to...
Just to put this one in its proper place
https://www.cfl.ca/2020/08/17/cfl-not-play-shortened-season-fall/
No pointy ball on BMO field this year it seems - would have been unlikely given...
Imagine this though - if we had been in CCL, they might have had to postpone tonight. And the pitch would be a mess for weeks if we tried to do this. Hopefully we don't have much cold next week.
FWIW, BMO Grounds Crew tweeted out (its a locked account so no use putting it in here) a pic of healthy grass growing under the tarps.
22 days until our home opener
Yes, but vigilance on this is warranted.
Slight drainage test today with lots of rain until about 1 then a probable thunder storm around 3.
First CFL home field game on now at BMO.
That field looks good but can't tell if there is bits coming up or not & I'm not going to watch just for that.
The accounts of the media & Vanney after the game was it was a great pitch, even in that rain. Looking forward to seeing it myself in a week.
Just a note on Allianz -
St. Paul got 8 inches of snow yesterday.
Their pitch is green & snow free today.
Well could call this the BMO Field Pitch Speculation Thread....
Its the internet - incomplete & false info is all we got - if we were journalists, we'd be watching Real Madrid lose and get...
They ripped up the pitch in November.
Installed a new one with the understanding that the weaving would take place in May (guess it needs to grow a bit).
So, yes, we have a new pitch & no its...
Storage space
If the Ex moves & 2026 includes a revamp of one of the spaces on the sides of BMO, doable. Otherwise, can't see it happening.
OK, now I feel a bit better becasue letting him go at this time of year would be bad.
BUT...wait a minute...there's a place to go from head groundskeeper? I thought they just retired to be a...
Everything 2017 has to die in order for TFC to rise again.
(Only slightly facetious)
Joking
Maybe they got a sudden offer to go to the Middle East
********
Serious speculation
If true...that is stunning.
Within 2 weeks of the home opener, to have no staff?!?!?!
We always play games in March. It's their job to figure this out. The go to thing for this grounds crew is sand. Hopefully with hybrid, this stops. But we aren't getting hybrid until May. In the...
That was embarrassing - if that's the same quality against NER in a few weeks, somebody should be fired.
And a followup from the Vanney presser - slow pitch due to the sand & can't water it

FWIW....Leach's view from pitchside today is its better then last February but a lot of sand

Way too many variables to indicate us on turf against a turf playing team would have won that game or that the field was the reason why we lost.
To be fair, Spurs wasn't supposed to be around anymore so that pitch was supposed to get more rest during the usually soaking with rain months of November & December.
Meanwhile Liberty stadium...
That doesn't jive with what is in this very thread. Admittedly the people talking last November are not the ones talking now.
But...
I'm sorry but anybody who says the 2017 field was bad wasn't there. Pitch was fine until November.
