My take
3rd DP spot is 100% filled this winter. TFC isn’t going to let things like a shot at champions slip past them again. Also they are realizing that they can’t dig out of a giant hole again.

It was a figure of speech on my part. They basically said they want to keep him but not as a DP so they spread out the total value across the next 5 years.
Pretty typical in sports. Extend the...
So there we have it. Option year was picked up as part of the package and 4 years was the extension. Still too long but that’s another topic
Ok maybe I’m misremembering
I thought he did an extension with a year left to relieve some cap. Maybe not.
I believe the extension was 4 years but the contract was still active for one year. Essentially he was already signed for 2020 and the 4 year extension extends him to 2024.
Hopefully TFC signs a DP immediately before Rogers finds out how much money they lost to the Russian hackers today.
Should be after the 6th I think
100% agree. Guys wanting to force an exit generally just go thru the motions. Salcedo played hard.
He may want to move but it’s not because he is unhappy
Too bad. Just saying you made appearances in EPL is probably good for your confidence
Yeah quite the display. TFC down 1-0 after 90 seconds then Priso decided he was Bruce Lee. I was Row 1 seat 1 at mid field and the only TFC fan in the building and 6 minutes in I had to pull up my...
I would not underestimate the quality of Cincinnati. Due to business travel, I’ve caught 3 live Cincinnati games, including the TFC game, and they’ve given every opponent a beat down. The TFC game...
Not a huge BB fan myself. He left LA for a reason however after the previous regime I am just glad he’s not worse
I saw him play for 5 minutes in Columbus. I never knew his rights (or whatever) belonged to TFC. I would have paid more attention
Seattle doesn’t drop around 10m on a DP. There’s a difference between them and what I’m saying. If TFC has a top salary DP and a willingness to keep going, there no reason they are not always in...
One thing I’ve recently realized is that there should never ever be a rebuild at TFC. I know several were saying rebuild before but I now see that as never an option.
If you look at the Insigne...
So they still have 2 or 3 DP left then.
Just to be clear, I don’t think Salcedo is bad, I just think they may move on. They took him somewhat to delete a player they definitely didn’t want so it’s not like he’s a prize signing. I see...
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Salcedo moved out totally. I believe that Wolves had interest in January so maybe it’s not a buy down to TAM that gets the extra DP spot? Gotta think that if an EPL team...
Not trying to spin what you’re saying I’m just not looking at a single game to make my assessment. He made 2 appearances in garbage time basically from Feb thru May. That’s telling to me as 24ish...
My Portuguese isn’t that solid but I took it as a 4million over 5 years which is a 800,000 per year salary. That’s why I said double his current 440,000 euro per year.
So he’s almost doubling his salary. Good news for him, he deserves it
Took a quick look and he’s 440,000 Euro.
I said a year as a reference. Don’t really want to argue semantics so I’ll edit and say “period of time”
As for none of us knowing why he didn’t play more than 2 appearances, you are quite wrong...
Can’t see a single person on this list coming. The only ones remotely close would be Auro and Laryea.
No Laryea for me but he’s likely gone from NFFC. With about 214 million now in their bank,...
Trading away assets to get Laryea back would be a bad idea. Was kinda glad he was gone myself but after a year not even making the squad for real games, it’s likely he’s regressed even further.
