MLS doesn't operate that way
Hasler always bugged me & Benezet was an effing disgrace for a company that talks about values.
I'll add - Maxi Urruti - the poster boy of "the old regime sucked so we are getting rid of this...
That approach of waiting is not just Manning - this is very much an MLS thing. Carlos Vela is another example. I think this thinking comes from being in a cap league.
No way Oso goes to Montreal - he'd be persona non grata to the supporters and that means a lot to him.
Its either Europe, Liga Mx or a US team.
They have said already his injury is related to his jaw alignment. He even said he was wearing a mouthguard for the one game he played. Its a long term injury.
As that article indicated.

They buyout is always a last minute just before the season starts thing.
You don't plan to use a buyout - you try to move the player first.
(Betting site journalism has more in common with FM...
Hmm....this reminds me that the "end of season" interviews will be mid next week & we will might even have off season moves announced by Monday afternoon.
i.e. this thread is about to die
MLSE would not touch that poisoned chalice for various reasons (I'd be selling my seasons until he left)

The lack of institutional history related to
a) youth development
&
b) goalkeeper development
has led to a lot of really bad media takes the last few years
Nelson only began to play well when Insigne was telling him exactly where to go.
I get the feeling MB doesn't know how to motivate players anymore while the Italians do.
Don't forget, MB is 8 ...
Westberg isn't considered an international? ( I think he's gone so it doesn't matter)
Assuming there is a plan, and there seems to be one, the test will be next June - August.
IIRC, the end of 2014 was very bad too
We are, in my mind, 5 starters & 3 subs away from success.

Yeh, we got problems with recruitment but for every Zimmerman & Mukhtar, there are dozens of misses.
The mention of anxiety in the midst of all that - mental health becoming a normalised discussion. Good.
Also never underestimate how freeing it is for a team to play with confidence in its keeper & backline. The Impact game - you could see the bodies slump when that first goal went in for them.
Yeh, ur right about youth & Vanney. LAG burned all its youth 2 years ago in a youth movement that showed their academy has limitations - sound familiar?
BUT...LAG is a crappy organization...
There is always Bill Hamid.....
Serious question
The money spent may not actually be all that much beyond 4 guys
Buyout of Jozy
2 DP's
Last year we were way worse within the league then we are now within the league.
There were things about Auro people forget - the coming inside instead of tracking people behind him, his penchant...
Assuming Oso can get better from whatever ails him, he's likely better to be here as a certain starter for a couple of games then in Greece as a maybe & dealing with getting resettled.
Blake is better at marshaling a back line....
If the only way to fill out a roster is to bring in people just to fill a space with contracts that go on longer then 1 year, then no...you don't fill in said roster.
We had a brutal 14 game stretch this season where we lost 10 & things were pretty much toast.
Not sure Nick De Leon could have saved that.
Sunday was crap...we all were/are hurt
Hard to discuss a fantasy lineup compared to reality
As has been mentionned numerous times Delgado wanted out & was gone; Lawrence was not happy, did not show up to training last year & was never...
