I was looking at the photos carefully recently, to see if my 8th row seat was effected, and I concluded that only the first 5 rows are gone ... though there didn't seem much room for legs in row 6.
Any indication on what they are doing with the front 5 rows of seats?
As an engineer, I think it's absolutely true. If you want artistry to be part of the design, you start with an architect, not an engineer. Those who end up as engineers - particularly design...
That's an odd sport for it during the CNE. You'd have to drive through the Ex to get to it, with Dufferin closed. Why not stick it on an Ontario Place parking lot ... though why most people wouldn't...
Good for Toronto ... Montreal moved past it in hockey by the mid-1970s. I always thought the big rivalry was with Philadelphia or possibly the Islanders, when I lived in Montreal. Toronto wasn't...
But they can (though rarely do) show the game on the back of the screen. Think of it as a large drive-in movie - but without cars. :)
Bonus points to anyone who figures out how to hang a Toronto Argo or Larry Tanenbaum in effigy.
The biggest lines are those of the top of the west stand and the bottom of the new roof.
Clearly,...
Looks like a walkway along the edge of the roof. Now there's a good view ... and a great place to hang banners!

The throwaway line in their about the rebuild of the north stands is intriguing, if correct:
Shoring activity is now underway at the former site of the north stands, which will be rebuilt in a new...
So much like this thread - but less one-sided ...
Nope. That's different.
Union is the one where the national team plays at BMO and advertises in newspapers. League is the one that's played at Lamport, and they advertise on hydro poles.
Oh, just read that. USA Rugby and Rugby Canada. Could be interesting! And with the April to July season would fit in nicely before much of the Argos season, and during the traditional June/July...
Hadn't heard about this. The national Rugby League team plays in Lamport Stadium, so don't see why a professional team couldn't play there. It's Rugby Union that's been playing at BMO.
Exactly. I'm not sure why people are doubting that construction of the roofs will happen, given that it's already started!
Good question. We haven't heard much about the first 6 or 8 rows of the...
I'd assume they are allowing for construction of more seats sometime in the future - or at least temporary seating for big events.
I wouldn't take the graphic too seriously ... if so, perhaps the...
