I understand your point but Texas is almost as big as Canada and one of the faster growing states. I used to work in Austin and it is growing like crazy.
Austin, Dallas, and Houston are hours apart. Only Austin and San Antonio are close proximity.

I mean you can't just move a stadium. Not a great location but they will have to make the best of it

They are never moving teams out of Chicago or Dallas. Too big of a market.
Atlanta is a young and transient city and should do well with MLS. The Demographics are similar to DC.

Miami has too many transplants. Everyone is form somewhere else and they bring their sports allegiances with them.
Lots of growing cities in the US have this problem. Plus there is a lot to do...
