I'd hope some rumors on incomings ramp up.
One of the biggest transfers that set us on the course of winning the MLS Cup were Justin Morrow and Steven Beitashour. I’d like to see something like that within the league. I don’t know who because I haven’t been following the rest of MLS that closely over the pandemic period but we need a few of those MLSers that aren’t sexy signings but solid players in the league.
To the tune of the Addams Family:
Canadian and scary
He's also very hairy
His name is Paul Stalteri
He scored against West Ham
de de de de (clap clap)
Spurs goal of the year in 2007:
Pre-season games announced so far are Austin on Feb 9 in Austin, Chicago feb 12 in Austin. FC Dallas is also playing those two clubs around the same dates, so we may also have a friendly against them before Feb. 26 kickoff.
Staying in Texas for most of Feb it seems?
Cavallini would be great, no need to disrespect a locally born player that has proved himself in a league that consistently whips us in internationally.
Current Starting 11 until July?
-------------------------------Westberg----------------------------
---Auro----Salcedo(sounds like it's done?)---Mavinga--Lawrence--
-----------Priso----------------------------Osorio-------------------

ensco... fantastic on Stalteri... Football Is Life! If Gattuso can... anyone can.
Not the first MB connects this season... very interesting... inputting... transition toe dipping?
One more acquaintance might arrive to live in TO at the end of SerieA season.
Ahhh... memories... Zamora... the inter-connectivity of football life... Defoe and Stalteri.
Let’s see how he plays this year. Supposedly has showed up in great shape. But let’s not sugarcoat it, he’s not been good in Vancouver and has a contract that’s inflated.
I would say the primary nightmare piece is his salary hit. Otherwise, I’d take a flyer on him at mid level TAM money.
I suspect Michael Bradley will be a starting player under his father. I mean, I'm no fan of nepotism but the reality is he's one of our most talented players; he looked last year like his legs were gone in terms of closing guys down quickly in the defensive zone. But this early in the year, that isn't going to be obvious and his old man will have faith that he still has it to be a starter and captain.
Just my expectation. Ayo is out for three or four months, so right now, we're almost certainly playing Peruzza alone up top OR Pozuelo up top as a false nine.
Might be:
----------------------Westberg----------------
--------O'Neill------Salcedo------Mavinga-------
--Auro---------------------------------------Lawrence
----------------Osorio----Bradley--------------------
--Achara/Rutty-----Pozuelo------Shaffelburg
Or ---------------Westberg------------------
Auro------Salcedo-----Mavinga-------Lawrence
---------Bradley------Priso-------Osorio
---------Pozuelo----Peruzza----Shaffelburg
It's worth keeping in mind Pozuelo played as an inside-out wide player for years before moving to the hole.
Coaching staff announced. Is this staff smaller than normal. Think Armas was at least one more. Greg had a bigger staff too. Even after Javier Perez and Ewan Sharp were removed on the website Ian Russell was left up, maybe a bit of feeling out process was going on with him who knows.

they still need to bring in a bunch of players.
2 strikers, 1 winger, 1 CM, 1 CB, 1 versatile fullback.
ideally trade bono and bring in a new GK too.
i think the starting lineup even for the first game of the season is going to look quite different than what is being posited today.

I thought 500k would be fair and I guess I wasn't too far off.
This is not interim pretty... until Insigne et al. arrive. I am now resigned to the fact that what is happening this off season is a complete housecleaning…
a gut and rebuild.
I had hoped otherwise… a more modest hybrid… pervasive and accelerated tinkering to facilitate contention.
Losing two of our three work horses is concerning for me.
With Delgado gone, the right side is in a bit of shambles.
Maybe a cap solution move for other issues, hopefully the spot is already addressed with an answer to be announced.
I believe and trust in Bob The Builder; for now. I am expecting pragmatic decisions.
To maintain and bridge the goodwill and apparent SSH results that the Insigne signing and others are generating.
The E in MLSE is for entertainment, the on-field product at anytime. Hopefully BB has a few more surprise roster additions.
Rough calculations... we likely need 35 to 45% of available game played points to be in playoff contention until reinforcements arrive...
others welcome to comment...
I believe BB wants to put an entertaining product on-field but... as is... and while I believe defense wins championships...
It seems defensive ball'in is what will give us any chance to stay in contention this season until...
Insert jloome formations...
Whichever line-ups, Graeme or jloome... looking up or across field... I really feel for Pozuelo... for now.

was always unlikely, but can rule MAK coming out.
signed a 4 year extension with Colorado.
Always suspected there was some corporate courtesy/cover being extended...
Given his relationship with Andi Petrillo; her own past with MLSE and the recent TSN/BELL connects.
She seems to no longer be with TSN/BELL as of late last year.
So maybe... soon...
She left TSN earlier this year because she said she wasn't able to keep up with all her commitments between TSN, CBC and OneSoccer. theathletic.com/2826424/2021/09/14/andi-petrillo-leafs-lunch-tsn-1050/
Maybe Jon Conway is actually just a really good coach and the players he's tasked with coaching just aren't good enough?
Maybe a nice guy but it's obvious that the 3 GKs who started here under his reign all regressed year to year and I point to Irwin as the main one. He was a solid MLS GK and after here he is just a back up and regressed a lot. Westberg's game is falling in all areas and the stuff Bono did well in year one was lost by year 3 and his weak spots have only gotten weaker. If one GK or even two then maybe but the chances of three of them steadily declining year after year means something. Could say the same as our medical staff; maybe they're great too and our players are just too soft. In each case I think the staff is the problem though.
Absolutely... one of several scenarios. Any suggestion on my part is pure speculation.
Really, in the end, if one believes there is a problem...
It's either he can't give instruction/motivate or the goalkeeper/s' can't take instruction/be motivated; are not good enough.
I honestly do not know if we need a new goalkeeper coach. Three strikes?
BB will make that decision, as he just has. And will continue to assess.
Hopefully Borjan is still in play. If my Serbian is any good... it is being recently suggested...
That he may have Omicron, didn't travel with Red Star Team to Turkey for their spring season preparations...
Although it's mentioned he also has upcoming CMNT commitments.
I did notice Westberg a couple of times this past season, when on the bench, on the side lines, try to interact with the yutes...
For instance, with M-R I believe, as they were soon to enter play... seemed to be trying to motivate them.
However, I think we can all agree last season was exceptional; any opportunity for confidence building was right to give and be taken.;)
One thing I like about Bob Bradley is that he's serious and no-nonsense. Think Vanney but even more of a hard-ass. I don't think he'll be happy with himself if the squad isn't filled out for Opening Day, he knows it's all on him and I'm sure he's getting compensated handsomely for it. Old-school + sense of pride + full backing of his bosses + working with his son = a guy that is definitely motivated. I wouldn't take what the roster looks like today as gospel for anything, they've got moves in the pipeline and we've seen from the names linked to us that the ambition is there.
Personally I see them building the roster out to a mid-level MLS squad for Opening Day and betting on a few big summer signings to let us get hot for the playoffs a la Seattle. From there it's all about tweaking the pieces.
That is a pretty good haul.
