MAK seems happy in Denver. He was showing off his new place with his missus on Instagram the other night.
Really? Wow. I would have guessed 3M.
Not arguing with you, he is a damn fine player, and still young.
Well, what the hell, let’s do it. You want to do something big and CMNT related in 2022, this is the move. I’d take him over Belotti, and he would cost a lot less.
We keep doing stuff for the Italian community, and never do anything for the Portuguese. Eustaquio would be a massive two-fer for both CMNT fans and Portuguese-Canadians.
Delgado will definitely be missed. He is arguably the most consistent midfielder we've ever had.
It's Ralph Priso season and I'm 100% here for it.
Love the idea of him competing primarily with Osorio and Bradley for the central midfield roles (assuming a 4-2-3-1). To me this feels like a lesson learned - we buried Fraser behind Bradley for years and he never improved (I still maintain he was a promising player, and would otherwise be better than he is now). And Priso is better than Fraser ever was.
Delgado is a nice player and will do well in LA, but I really like this.
This could also indirectly open up some minutes for JMR/Nelson/Shaff. Rather than playing Oso higher up the field, he can slide back into the Oso role. We can then have those three play higher up.
TFC will now have a TON of funny money to use. I can't imagine it all being used in a single window at this rate.
Yeah, Priso has big one season and done vibes to him.
How is all this going to sit with Osorio who very publicly seemed to want a shot at something else and now sees various teammate moving on?
Not sure what his market would be but I would venture leagues like Mexico, Netherlands, Belgium, etc… not totally out of the question.

Neil Davidson said the team left for California today. I wonder if Delgado stayed behind to pack things up since the trade was imminent. I didn't see anything on social media from the other players about leaving though, which is a bit bizarre.
EDIT: Poz posted an Instagram story from California 30 mins ago.
EDIT, EDIT: Auro posted one from the Miami airport... wonder if he skipped coming in to Toronto. He also had some interesting emojis in the post too.
Poz has posted from the hotel in LA. Haven't seen anything else as of yet.
Delgado was our best trade asset. Hope we get a good return.
He will be missed.
Northern Tribune thinks CanPL champion CB MacNaughton has joined

He might not be only CPL arrival there, as we believe Lukas MacNaughton‘s capture by the MLS side has now been completed.
I'm good with Delgado moving on. He had some good years, but he was frustrating at times. I'd take Ralph Priso over him at this point at CM. Use the $$$ to bring in some reinforcements.
Team arrived in California.

Miami is a gateway to Latin America, would not be surprise if MIA was a layover on his way to California from Sao Paulo.
Yeah that would make sense. Just seems different than most other players who came to Toronto for a few days for physicals/medicals/etc. Like Marky flew from California to Toronto when he could have just stayed in California. Unless he knew about the trade already and was just coming to pack things up.
Soteldo is in camp with Venezuela
Not surprised but tough to see one of our most important players over the last 6 years go.
We need to find a depth pace who can cover the ground defensively like Delgado does, because we're lacking there right now and in truth we've lacked it forever outside of Mark
Actually we need more depth everywhere
I am bummed that Marty is going. He is such a solid, dependable MLS vet who has seen it all and is still just 26. Not liking this at all.
It’s safe to say this off-season has been a complete housecleaning. Can’t think of a time when this many players have exited. Could be good or bad thing I suppose. Good because everyone left standing gets a clean slate but maybe bad as it’s hard to gel as a team with 7 guys at camp trying to run drills with a bunch of Twitter rumors for teammates.
Mexican defender Carlos Salcedo set to join #TFCLive on a 3 year contract. The 28 year old is expected to undergo a medical test on Thursday or Friday

I don't remember seeing this before. I know Ayo was out at the beginning of the season and it was speculated it was perhaps COVID related. Some confirmation here. Glad he was able to get past it.
The Stalteri thing is interesting. Delicious for those of us who have been around for a while and have long memories.
He doesn’t obviously have credentials for the job -I assume he didn’t get this because he was Jim Brennan's assistant. Maybe it's his work as part of the CMNT coaching group… what the CMNT defenders have done is amazing the last 12 months.
Stalts played with MB in Germany at Borussia Monchengladbach for two years. Rob Friend was on that team too. Stalts has probably remained close to MB during the last few years… how many of MB's ex teammates from Europe living in the GTA can there be!
While we are connecting dots, Friend runs Pacific FC, who supposedly just sold us… a defender!
I wonder if Stalts is also kind of a bridge for Insigne, to help with language etc (I believe Stalteri speaks Italian). I believe one lesson learned from the Giovinco era is that there was a lot of separation, Gio very quickly had an entourage around him. Of course Gio and Insigne are different people, but nobody ever got the idea that Gio was paying rapt attention to Vanney or Fraser. Stalts, having started for a Bundesliga champion in Bremen, and seen a lot of Champions League games too, would have a kind of specific gravitas with Insigne… his team beat Bayern Munich in Munich to win the title. That is something Insigne could identify with.
I love it because I loved Stalts as a player - what a tough cookie! I doubt there will be any passengers in practice with Paul Stalteri anywhere nearby. I wouldn’t have obviously pegged him as a coach, but if Gattuso can do it…
If you weren’t around for Paul in his prime… every time I see the Roy Kent character on Ted Lasso, I think of Paul Stalteri. That's who he was, on the playing field anyway.
I would be happy to have MAK back, if in fact this is what we're looking to do. BUT I wouldn't be so happy parting with $1M+ in allocation to welcome back a homegrown player.
