I actually prefer spring, late summer/early fall games. June/ July / early Aug games, especially afternoon games, can be really warm...and my beer gets hot to quickly!
LAFC game on February 2nd as well

They've closed down cos of all the NASL shenanigans
I hope we play AS Blainville in the Semi Final and completely beat the shit out of them with our TFC2 team.
It'll be very nice to have humiliated two teams from Quebec in the Canadian Championship
I actually want to play Oakville - seeing as I live in Oakville. I'm going to try to get to the Blue Devils vs Blainville game in Oakville. They play at Sheridan College on Trafalgar. I don't know if either of these teams will get past the Fury though... :-)
Sorry, but there is no way a Div3 team is making it past the Fury.
Well of you look at the FA Cup, non league teams do knock off premier league teams, so it could happen. You never know.
I initially thought this would start earlier in the year but I guess to be fair they had to wait for Oakville and Blainville to actually have there teams together.
I just can't see a semi-pro team of mostly U23s beating a completely professional side over two legs. Maybe one leg if the Fury play kids, sure, but if they bring their full first squad and get serious, then they don't have a hope of winning the return leg. Neither will the Fury when they face TFC at BMO Field.
The more I think about I agree. I also think the Reds will do pretty much what they did last year going with a reserve squad on that turf at TD for the away leg. Especially considering it will be the middle match of three road games in 7 days. Orlando on the Saturday, Ottawa on the Wednesday and Chicago on the Saturday after. Will be a whirl wind of a week.
Heh, I plan to be at the Orlando game on Saturday, then back in time to catch the Ottawa game on Wednesday - while pulling a trailer. :)
if we make it to the final of the ACC, it means we'd have to play 13 games between july 13 and september 1st. Good thing we'll have Bradley and Alitdore.
What's the ACC
:p
I knew that, but (a) no longer Amway and (b) I was giving stick for calling the Voyageurs' Cup something corporate.
Not sure if this was already mentioned in another thread over the last week, but the TFC II home opener is Saturday March 31 at BMO Field, against Ottawa. This is a stand-alone -- not immediately following a TFC match on the same day (TFC vs Salt Lake is at BMO the night before, Fri. Mar. 30).
http://www.torontofc.ca/post/2018/01/19/toronto-fc-ii-2018-usl-schedule-announced
TFC II home games on Apr. 7, 28, May 9, July 1, 28, and August 12, appear to coincide with TFC matches at BMO, although all of the TFC II games (except the home opener) presently list venue as TBD, and no start times are listed yet for any games.
Edit: They should now be able to get very large crowds of kids at any TFC II school day games.
Is this "renovation" only replacing the artificial turf, or possibly more, such as extending the field back into the parking lot to make it CFL-capable? I'm guessing probably not, but I wonder how bothered the owners, rest of the CFL, and TSN are by the 85% empty appearance (in spite of the ridiculously fictional attendance numbers they announce) of BMO Field for the vast majority of their games there, along with the combination grass field/artificial turf end zone, and never being able to practice there?
