Support Design #1 for 2012 Kit

My 2012 Kit was picked as 1 of the 5 finalists.

I designed a couple of kits last month, as I'm sure many other RPB's did. I was surprised to get a call yesterday informing me that one of my designs was selected.

So, I'd like to pimp my design to my fellow RPB's.

Design #1 by Jimmy S.

This is what I like about my design. The subtle grey Adidas logo blends into the jersey, inspired by jerseys such as England's WC2010 Umbro kit, which is white on white. Too bad the template didn't allow for same colour logos, or else I would blend all the logos.

The red cross on the back of the collar. I like the Milan kit with the red cross, I like the simpleness of the St. George cross. Plus, the St. George cross appears on the top of the Province of Ontario's Coat of Arms, just like it does on this kit.

The subtle Maple Leaf over the heart and behind the TFC crest.

And finally, the Black socks. The only design that has them. Black socks are gangster... enough said.

Any support I can generate is much appreciated.

Im not gonna lie dude, they all suck. But they all suck because the templates you were restricted to allowed for nothing but crappy results. Of all the designs yours and 4 are the best. The grey one makes me want to barf. The Grey should never return.

voted... i like the overall color scheme.. The subtle leaf is meh with me though,,, will prolly stay in the middle right where it is right now

Ive always wanted black in the TFC kits and i like this one. Black socks are pretty G, but not all black

Voted. The top is pretty close to #3, but I prefer the black shorts.

To be honest, none of these kits look good at all. I wouldn't buy any of them. Whoever picked these 5 kits as finalists should be fired!

Well they should have given artistic freedom on this, you make a design with a graphic design program and summit it. Let it be a little off the wall, like some of those MISL uniforms.

Who ever did #2 should be arrested by the bad taste police. Grey was never good and never will be good

Was sceptical, at first.. but, upon closer review, your design is head and shoulders above the rest.

Nice done.

Voted for your design man. The only thing I don't like in it is that the Maple Leaf is too subtle for my taste.

Of course all 5 designs suck big time, because the minimal liberty allowed by the contest.
They should have named it kit coloring contest and not kit designing contest, that would make sense. :rolleyes:

I agree what others said: design number 2 is utter shit, dude should be arrested for having criminal taste.

Props for getting in as a finalist. But they all look far too similar and do not exice me in the slightest.

I'm pretty sure the prize is the first prototype of the jersey signed by the team. I'll let you know for sure hopefully.

i want to know how many permutations of jerseys actually exist

I'd be willing to bet that number two was a joke, as in "I'll put the same colour of grey for everything and see what happens".

You peaked my curiosity, so I took a look. But I'm not a mathematician, just a Phys Ed teacher. Here is the data you'd need.

Places to colour(*when factoring in places to colour when design changes)=28
Colours available=5

I think from my limited knowledge of permutations the formula is 28 to the power of 5. And if so that's 17,210,368 permutations. And that doesn't take into account the limited style adjustments they allowed you to do.

You'd have to factor in the style changes.
Shirt collars=3
Shirt piping=2
Inside collar motto=4
Motto on back of jersey=3
Center panel design=4

And that's beyond me. Too much math, my head hurts :(

By the way, I was told there was 8000 entries.

This is kind of lame, they all look the same minus colours and an emblem here or there. Did they allow any creativity :P.

Just multiply it all out (5^28)*3*2*4*3*4 = a shit ton, ya alot of permutations but in the end still end up looking pretty similar.

yeah the templates suck

number 2 would be my favourite. no maple leafs! why the fuck do we need a maple leaf in there? keep it simple. yeah, we get it we're canadian, do we really need to have it so fucking obvious right there in the jersey? awful.

all for one on the back of the shirt is also awful.

and i really really really hope the "supporter's jersey" name doesn't stick around. stop pandering to us. just give us a winnning team, that's how you sell fucking jerseys. fuck!
