Problem isn't playing three in the back. The problem is changing formations in MLS, where players get confused easily when they're playing a system that isn't familiar to them. Cheyrou and Warner keep pushing forward as soon as possession is won, but the back line doesn't push up with them. When we lose possession, the back line retreats but the midfield keeps pushing forward. You can't play with a high press from your wide players and deep midfielders if your defenders aren't comfortable moving up with them.
Disagree completely on Hagglund he's sucked far worse than Zavaleta. In fact I think we have a pretty decent if not good defence, its just it only works with one lineup Morrow-Perquis-Zavaleta-Morgan. Together good, any deviation terrible.Quote:

We could have done with that chance for Gio at the end of the half to go in. Lucklustre performance in first half and we are going to need to take it up a gear in the second 45 if we are going ro get anything out of this game
I don't think Cheyrou is really an anchor, more a classic two-way.
We'd have been better playing with Warner as the holder, flat back four, Osorio and Cheyrou mid and Delgado behind the forwards. Everyone' s familiar with it.
